2 COFFER DAM TO BE PURGED COP No. 4P,4CP,5S,6S,9P

3 CHECK THE FIX MACHINES ARE STILL BLANKED FOR COT No. 1W,3S,8CS,8S,4P/4CP/5W/6W/7S/9P & SL-P

4 CHECK THE B/W POCKETS, TANK DOME; I.e.ALL OPENINGS ARE CLOSED FOR COT No.

TANK WASHING METHOD :-

A) SAFETY FIRST - SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT - NO MAN ENTRY IN TO ANY HAZARDOUS SPACES


( i.e: CARGO TANKS, BALLAST TANKS, PUMP ROOMS etc.) UNLESS THOSE ARE CHECKED
FOR FREENESS OF GASES AND SAFE FOR ENTRY.

B) THESE ARE ONLY BROAD GUIDE LINES FOR TANK CLEANING BUT NOT LIMITED TO; EXTRA
WASHINGS / PROCEDURES MAY BE REQUIRED DEPENDING ON THE CONDITION OF TANKS.

C) IN ADDITION TO THESE STANDARD CHEMICAL TANKERMANSHIP PRACTICE TO BE FOLLOWED


DURING WHOLE TANK CLEANING OPERATION.

D) ALWAYS TANKS TO BE WELL STRIPPED DURING WHOLE PERIOD OF BUTTER WORTH WASHINGS.
E) PORTABLE TANK CLEANING MACHINES TO BE USED TO COVER THE BLIND SECTORS OR IF
THE FIXED TANK CLEANING MACHINES ARE NOT WORKING.
F) PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RECIRCULATE THROUGH DROP LINE AND FLUSH THROUGH BOTH
SIDE OF MANIFOLDS DURING BUTTER WORTH WASHES & RECIRCULATION. KEEP BOTH
MANIFOLDS CRACK OPEN DURING FLUSHING. FLUSH DRAIN COCKS, PV RISER.
G) ALWAYS FIX TK. CLN. MACHINE TO BE FLUSHED BY F.W. BEFORE F.W. RINSING AND PUT BACK BLANK
H) BEFORE ENTERING TANK FOR MAKING DRY LEAVE ALL DELIVERY, DROP, MASTER, M/F VALVES
AND DRAIN COCKS OPEN FOR GOOD DRAINAGE. FIXED MACH. NOZZLES LEAVE FACING DOWNWARD
I) TANK WASHING SLOPS TO PUT INTO TANK NO:- ......................................

4. FOR RECIRCULATION TAKE F.W. / SEA WATER; N/A INTO THE RESPECTIVE TANK JUST
ENOUGH TO HAVE A GOOD RECIRCULATION. ADD CHEMICALS INTO THE TANK AS FOLLOWS :-
