manage. One has to plan and organize tasks that are going to be met by the deadline and me and the
other team member have to lead and control everything and get things done. Most of our team's tasks
are predefined based on our availability and our working hours. If there are new requirements,
obviously that is going to affect our lives and our professions. We will be having an extra workload, and
fewer hours to complete the task which is going to increase the complexity of the work for our team.
Indeed there are enough people to get the work done but if there would be additional people in the
team that would be a plus. However, I really feel that if we three people put in our 100% and utilize our
working hours 100% then we will be able to get the job done. However, I do realize that everyone has
their own problems in their lives and people are bound to face those. It becomes crucial for them to give
time to their everyday conduct rather than giving 100% to work only. So I think an additional team
member would be no less than any blessing.
Although there are certain parts of the project I feel are not important and can be condensed but it will
be unfair to do so. A task well done is one that covers all the aspects of the job. There is always an
opportunity cost. If these changes are made the opportunity cost of doing the work in fewer hours
would be the work I traded off doing because of changes.
I can leverage what I have learned in the course that in unavoidable circumstances it is empirical to gain
the trust of the team and communicate everything with them. If communication is clear half of the
problem is solved then the next step is to work on problem identification, possible solution, and
execution. In order to communicate the new requirements with my team, I will explain to them the
importance of the project and how it is going to affect our future progress.
