SITUATION: The electrician/master electrician/electrical engineer draw a

PRODUCT/PERFORMANCE TASK: A Drawing template for legend of an
electrical wiring plan for residential or industrial wiring design.
STANDARD CRITERIA: Rubric for Performance
STEPS/PROCEDURE: (Perform the following, please document the
task given- either picture or video if done at home)
1. Prepare the drawing area, make sure to have proper lighting
and ventilation. Seat properly and maintain proper posture in
drawing to avoid back pains.
2. Prepare a drawing template
3. Draw a floor plan of a single-family dwelling unit with
bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area etc.
4. Design a lighting layout base on the specifications of
Philippine Electrical Code.
5. Search for electrical symbols found in our modules learning
materials or other supplementary learning resources such as
in internet.
6. Draw properly the different electrical symbols, use proper tools
for drawing such as pencil, rulers or triangles. Cleanliness
and neatness must be observed in your drawings.
7. Observe safety in using drawing tools and materials.
8. Calculate lighting load base on Philippine Electrical Code
specifications.
9. Determine the total current load of a light outlet circuit base on
Philippine Electrical Code specifications.
10. Determine the Size of Conductor wire for Circuit. Refer to Table
of Allowable Ampacities of Insulated Conductors in PEC
11. Determine the Size of the Conduit Pipe. Refer to the Table of
Maximum Number of Conductors in Trade Sizes of Conduit
Tubing in Philippine Electrical Code.
12. Determine the Size or Rating of the fuse protective device.
Refer to the Table of Standard Ampere Rating for Fuses and
Circuit Breakers in PEC.
