I have TM -34-1 which has several illustrations, I'm not sure which piece is the lift bracket??
15-14... describes: Extension support bracket; Support base to body; Outer/inner brace; Extension
assembly; Center platform; Reinforcement plate; Tire mounting bracket; Reinforcement bracket;
Seat Belt anchor and miscellaneous hardware. Nowhere does it use the term "lift bracket."
I went through -34P section II (Ambulance body extension) and the "special purpose body"
assembly list does not use the term "lift bracket"

Hello KS,
Here's what you want. It's the rear lifting bracket. It is used on the M718A1, M825, M151A2 and
the M151A2 w/ROPS. It is also used on the M718 itself (UOC's are B30, B31, B32, B33 and 243).
Here's what it looks like:-

Hello
Are you talking about the add-on Marine Corp specific brackets that attach to the rear corners of the
body? I will try to find a photo and post it up.

Yeah i am. The Museum at Fort Campbell that i spend a lot of time at working on their Rolling
Stock Displays has a 66 m718 and has the rear brackets on it between the body and the extention.
This isnt the first one that i have seen like this. The Data Plate has the ARMY Ordance Stamp on it.
But could not find any reference to the Brackets in any TM. From what i remember looking at it
cause of the body cancer it has it looks like its a complete plate from side to side mounting under
the bumperettes and the Pintle hitch and at the corners.

Hello
I always thought those brackets were found only on the Marine Corp M151A1s but I recall looking
at a pile of those brackets and noticing the holes in the very corner where the ambulance extension
bolted on. So I was looking at some photos and all the M718 had those brackets. So maybe they
were also part of the ambulance kit for the M151A1. Sorry it doesn't help with the part number but I
am away from all my references until next weekend. Are you looking for a set of brackets?

KS,
these are the plates that the USMC uses for the rear corner lifting eyes. They used these on the
M151A1 and M718. However, there's no record of the Army using the plates on their M718s, only
the shackles.
