MODULE PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION

TASK 1 – WHAT’S MY USE

1. MICROPHONE It conveys your voice from one end of the room to

another and allows your audience, even the people furthest from you,
not to miss a single word of your speech

2. PAPER AND PEN Using pen into paper and thinking ideas. Pen and
paper writing encourages you to think about every word, its deeper
connotations, hidden meanings, and so on. Writing on paper and using
a pen gives language much more meaning. Compared to an email, text
message, or Facebook message, it has much deeper value.

3. CELLPHONE Cellphones are so widely used by people that they

frequently serve as personal extensions. Internet access, texting,
blogging, E-books, social networking, music and movie downloads,
communication device and shooting pictures are all examples of
common uses that fall under the category of expected digital media
distribution.

4. CAMERA There are a thousand words in a picture. Camera-shot

images and videos are useful for storytelling and communication.
Students should be encouraged to express their understanding of how
to improve society through visual images because the camera is such
an effective tool for communication.

5. SOCIAL MEDIA APPS Users can engage in conversations, share

information, and produce content for the web via social media platforms.
Information has now reached persons and audiences that were
previously inaccessible thanks to online communication. The general
public is now more informed of what is going on throughout the world.
TASK 2 –WRITING

1. What are the different purposes of communication? Explain it using

your own ideas.

Communication serves five major purposes: to inform, to express

feelings, to imagine, to influence, and to meet social expectations.

To inform- is to serve news and info to people and make them aware of
the situations throughout the world.

To express- is to clarify/confront the other person on what you feel

about their behavior

To imagine- is to visualize the possibilities of the thoughts and ideas

To influence- is to move/guide another person toward action without the

use of direct power

To meet social expectations- is the ideas that we have of how someone

in our social surroundings will behave in the future or in a specific
situation

2. What makes communication purposeful?

- The purpose of communication is to bring everyone to a common

understanding. Each message in purposeful communication has a
definite goal in mind. One of those tasks is to communicate the strategic
plans, goals, and daily actions required to achieve them. Effective
communication is based on ensuring that everyone is on the same
page.It enables a company to consider your communication's purpose
(such as to motivate workers or sell a product), the best strategy, and
the results you hope to achieve.
