1. After reaching the breakdown location the team have to identify the
faulty section.
2. The Section In Charge / Authorised Person to check if back feeding is
possible. In such cases of back feeding the following steps are to be
followed :
2.1 The Section In Charge / Authorised person to confirm the loading of the
alternate Circuit.
2.2 The Section In Charge / Authorised person to take PTW (for Back feeding
Purpose)
2.3 The team has to isolate the faulty portion.
2.4 Put Safety Tag, Lock in the isolating equipment (If proper locking facility is not
available a person has to be deputed till the work is completed).
2.5 Restore the supply to the healthy (alternate) source.
2.6 Cancel the PTW & update the PSCC/PSS & BAS about the changes done in the
NOP, NC points.
3. Breakdown team to commence work for the fault restoration with new
PTW.

Process of IR Testing
The HT & LT leads of the DTR to be removed.
If metering CTs are installed they must be removed with precaution & in sequential Manner.
IR values of the DTR is to be taken, if the IR value of the DTR is in safe range (refer Table) then only the HG fuse has to be
replaced & DTR leads & CTs to be connected.
If IR values are below the minimum range DTR is to be replaced with a Healthy DTR.
