1. This is to inform that you have been shortlisted to attend Services Selection Board
(SSB) interview at Selection Centre South, Bangalore. Thus, you are required to report at Main
Gate of Selection Centre South, Bangalore, Cubbon Road, near Manipal Centre at 0400
hours (4.00 PM) as per date mentioned in Call Up letter for the subject interview scheduled
to be conducted at Selection Centre South, Bangalore.
2. No changes will be made to the SSB Interview dates, once selected / allotted. Also,
no absentee batches have been scheduled.
3. Local candidates. Withhold your move and contact us by the fastest means and at
the earliest in case of following condition:-
(a) Candidate having a close relation / blood relation posted in any capacity at the
Selection Centre (South), Bangalore.
(b) Candidates, who are wards of serving persons, posted to any defence
establishment in the same station as the Selection Centre (South), Bangalore.
Eligibility
5. Please ensure that you fulfill all eligibility criteria strictly as per the Notification
published by UPSC EXAMINATION NOTICE NO 11/2022.CDS-II DATED 18/04/22. In
case of shortcomings the, candidates will be returned from the SSB.
COVID GUIDELINES.
6. All candidates are required to go through various Central Government advisories on the
subject alongwith quarantine schedule before move. The following points are
enumerated for strict compliance with respect to COVID 19/Corona Precautions.
(a) Registration AROGYA SETU APP. Candidates will install Aarogya Setu
App in their respective phones prior to leaving home station to Selection Centre,
Bangalore. Screenshot of having green status on the said app will be taken prior to
leaving home. The same will be checked at the time of reporting at the Selection Centre
and subsequently daily status, during the duration of stay.
(b) Candidate having any symptom of COVID-19 should not move from his/her home
station. In case any candidate reports with COVID-19 symptoms, he/she will be
returned back from main gate only. During the course of SSB interview, if any
candidates develops symptoms of COVID-19, he/she will be withdrawn from the
course.
(d) Any candidates who does not possess the vaccination certificate will be required
to produce RTPCR negative report. THE RTPCR TEST SHOULD HAVE BEEN
CONDUCTED WITHIN 72 HRS OF REPORTING AT THE SELECTION CENTRE
SOUTH, BANGALORE.
(a) Candidate have to submit proof of graduation /provisional certificate on the date
of commencement of the SSB interview at the SSB. Candidate who are studying
in the final year /semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year
degree examination can also apply provided candidate should not have any
present backlog upto the last semester / year for which results have been declared
upto the time of submission of application and they will be required to submit proof
of passing the degree examination at the time of commencement of course to
reach the IHQ of MoD (Army) , Rtg ‘A’ CDSE Entry , West Block III, R.K Puram,
New Dekhi-110066 in case of IMA /SSC first choice candidates.
(b) Candidates, who have yet to pass their degree examination will be eligible only if
they are studying in the final year of degree examination. Those candidates who
have yet to qualify in the final year Degree examination and are allowed to appear
in the UPSC examination should note that this is only a special concession given
to them. They are required to submit proof of passing the Degree examination by
01 Jul 2023 and no request for extending this date will be entertained on the
grounds of late conduct of basic qualification university examination, delay in
declaration of results or any other ground whatsoever. Candidates who are
studying in the final year semester degree course are required to submit at the
time of SSB interview a bonafide certificate issued by University /College stating
that they will be able to submit their proof of passing the graduation degree
examination by 01 Jul 2023, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
(c) Candidates who are debarred by the Ministry of Defence from holding any type of
commission in the Defence Services shall not be eligible for admission to the
examination and if admitted, their candidature will be cancelled.
(b) Two copy of the Print out of UPSC application form duly signed and self
attested Photograph affixed.
(g) Principal/ Head of the Institution stating that the candidate is in final year and his
result will be declared by 01 Jul 2023. (for final year appearing candidates only)
as per specimen attached at Appendix ‘A’.
(h) Candidates Who Have Submitted their Certificates and Mark Sheets in
College or Institution for Pursuing Higher Studies:-

(i) If candidates have deposited their original 10 th / 12th Class certificate with
College/University the certificate as per specimen attached at Appendix - ‘B’ be
obtained from the College / University where deposited.
(ii) Photocopy of the certificate duly Certified True Copy (CTC) by the
Registrar/Principal only of the college/university where original have been
deposited will also be obtained and produced for documents check on your
reporting for SSB.
(j) Risk Certificate. (To be typed/ handwritten on plain paper and signed by
parent/guardian) as per specimen attached at Appendix ‘C’.
(k) All certificates as above in Originals will be returned after verification at the
Service Selection Board ITSELF.
Note :- Any candidate who does not carry these entire documents for the
SSB interview, his candidature will be cancelled.
9. Age Limit. As per Notification. (Candidates born not earlier than 2 nd Jul 1999 and not
later than 01st Jul 2004 only).
(a) Only small innocuous permanent body tattoos are permitted on inner face of
forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side palm/back
(dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are
not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes
with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions
will be permitted on a case to case basis.
(b) Documents Required to be Submitted. In case of permissible tattoos, under
mentioned Appendices to Selection Centre South Bangalore ‘Tattoo Policy for
candidates appearing for SSB interview with Permanent Body tattoos’ are
required to be submitted for being allowed to continue with selection process :-
(i) Tribal Communities. Self Certification and Certificate from DC/DM/ /SDM
as per formats attached as Appendix ‘D’ & ‘E’ respectively.

(a) The personal particulars. Candidate’s name & Parents Name as contained in
Matriculation of Equivalent Certificate only will be acceptable.
(b) Due care be taken to address all the variations without leaving any scope for
interpretation /assumption whatsoever of such variations from document to
document. In absence of correct affidavit, the candidate will be returned back
without entertaining any representations.
Note 1 :- Candidates declared successful in the SSB interview are required to submit at
the earliest a photocopy, duly self attested, of all such provisional degree/ degree
certificate acquired after the SSB interview to Directorate General of Recruiting, New
Delhi.

Note2 :- Candidates are further advised that documents already verified at the Selection
Centre need not be submitted again to IHQ MoD (Army). In case of loss of such
documents, the onus will entirely rest upon the candidate.
12. Testing procedure at SSB. This will be conducted over five days in two stages:-
(a) Stage I. The Stage I testing shall commence at 0800 hours (8.00 AM) on the first
day which will comprise of an Intelligence Test and a Picture Perception and
Discussion Test (PPDT).
(b) In case of your rejection in stage I, you shall be returned from the Centre in
the afternoon of the same day.
(c) Stage II. The Stage II tests comprises of Psychological Tests, Group Test I & II
and interview for the next four days.

13. Compensation. Government is not responsible for any compensation to the candidates
or to their guardians/heirs for injuries sustained by them during the period of testing or
while using military transport.
14. Travelling Allowance (TA). The candidates are entitled for the TA claim as per AC Tier
III/ AC chair car Train fare or actual amount paid which ever is less. Re-imbursement of
TA will be made to Bank Account through NEFT to the candidates Accts/ beneficiary
account as per candidate’s choice. To claim TA, if applicable, candidates must submit
TA form (Format attached as Appendix ‘G’), alongwith a copy of the tickets and a
cancelled cheque or a self attested photocopy of first page of bank passbook. TA claims
are generally cleared in 45-60 days. In case of any query related to only TA/DA please
contact on Email ID cubbang@nic.in and Mobile No 8867682295. Please fill up your
move details after logging in http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. You are liable to forfeit the
TA if you:-
(a) Are withdrawn from any stage of Testing due to ineligibility/ cancellation of
candidature.
(b) Make use of any travel concession forms from Defence or any other government
department.
(c) Fail to produce any of the following documents for claiming the TA when reporting
for SSB:-
(i) In case of Rail/Air/Bus travel, original travel ticket purchased offline or Print
out of travel ticket in which the fare amount is mentioned.
(ii) Boarding Pass (in original) in case of Air travel or its printout in case of e-
boarding.
(iii) Cancelled cheque or copy of first page of bank passbook of the account in
which the amount is desired to be transferred.
15. Administrative Instructions. The following administrative instructions are laid down for
Candidates guidance and strict compliance:-
(a) Cash and Valuables. It is advised that, a maximum of Rupees one thousand
over and above what is required for travelling expense may be carried. No
valuables should be carried. Safe custody of cash and valuables will be the
responsibility of the candidates.
(b) Free boarding and lodging will be provided to you for the period of your stay at the
Selection Centre. HOWEVER, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO GET A PAIR OF
PERSONAL BED SHEET (02 NOS), PILLOW COVER (02 NOS), A LIGHT
BLANKET, PERSONAL WATER BOTTLE AND RAIN CAPE/UMBRELLA.

(c) No individual will be allowed to go out of the Selection Centre South, Bangalore
premises on the day of screening test (Stage I Test). Hence it is advised that you
must bring your luggage with you at the time of reporting.
(d) Candidates will strictly adhere to laid down timings at all places.
(e) Candidates will not visit testing areas after testing hours.
(f) The conduct of the candidates both in the Selection Centre as well as when
visiting outside areas will be courteous.
(g) Mobile phones will be deposited on arrival and their usage during the stay at
Selection Centre South, Bangalore is strictly prohibited.
(j) Items to be Brought. The following items will be required for the interview:-
Note: - Tie/blazers/apparels bearing logos of school/academies/institutes etc are strictly
prohibited.
16. Change of Address. Change of address, if any after submission of application will be
intimated to “Dte Gen of Rtg (Rtg ‘A’), Adjutant General’s Branch, IHQ of MoD (Army),
West Block- III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066” as per specimen attached at Appendix
‘H’.
17. Certificate for not Having Duplicate Profiles/Registration IDs. Certificate regarding
not having duplicate profiles/Registration IDs on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in as per
specimen attached at Appendix ‘J’.
(a) Documentation.
(i) Candidates to ensure that all documents including any affidavit for wrong
name or tattoos etc as stated in the call up letter are brought along. In case a
candidate fails to produce the required documents at the time of reporting, the
candidature will stand cancelled and NO repeat NO representation will be
accepted at any stage.

(ii) Latest passport size photographs not older than one week will be brought
and failure to produce the same at the time of reporting will render a candidate
disqualified for appearing for the SSB. Nobody would be allowed to leave the
premises for any documentation or getting photographs.
(iii) Candidates are requested to get a ‘No Risk certificate’ as per specimen
attached at Appendix ‘K’.
(b) Misc.
(i) Those candidates who are selected from Stage I to Stage II will not be
allowed to go out of the Selection Centre premises for any purposes in view of the
COVID-19 pandemic.
(iii) Candidates are advised to carry adequate clothing that will be required for
their stay, as there shall be no laundry facilities till the pandemic is over.
(iv) Candidates are advised to ensure that they do not carry any medication with
them including any generic medicines. Any medical assistance required will be
provided at Selection Centre. There will be a check of body temperature at least
thrice a day during your stay to ensure that all candidates are safe.
20. Correspondence.
(a) Candidates must forward all queries/ requests only through Feedback/Queries’,
after logging in to their personal profile on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
