LEARNING ACTIVITIES
“Physical Education is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it
is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.” With that being said, this
compelling quote from the late U.S. president, John F. Kennedy, highlights the relevance of
physical education where in our current educational system, acquiring dynamic and
creative intellectual activity can also attained from our Physical Education (P.E.) and its
significance on shaping one individual creates a better avenue for greater success and
triumph not only to his/her physical fitness but also for its healthy well-being. But why
does Physical Education important specially in my course? And what does physically
educated person should possess?
And with that being in mind, I believe that a physically educated person possess the
compelling intellectuality that highlights an integral part of educational program design to
promote optimum development of an individual physically, mentally, socially and
emotionally through properly selected physical activities. Therefore, a physically educated
person should possess necessary skills needed in performing different physical activities, a
physically educated person who participates in health-enhancing physical activity
demonstrates competence in selected motor skills, does always participate and associates
him/herself in physical activities, knows how to assess, possess good sportsmanship, good
leadership and followership and honesty in group competition, he/she should maintain
physical fitness and lastly, have enough knowledge about the benefits from involving
his/herself in physical education and values physical activities and its contribution to a
healthful lifestyle. And that’s what a physically educated person should possess in order to
attain a valued characteristics within this aspects.
The health benefits I can get from doing my exercise and physical activities that
revolves in my daily tasks are improvement of my motor skills, develops my physical and
mental health in a way that it decline my stress and tensions somehow. I can also tell that
doing my daily tasks thru active recreational activities build my confidence and self-esteem
and also lessen the heavy feeling I am frequently experiencing when times gets harder.

Let’s say doing exercise also become my therapeutic ways on managing my self constraints.
Above all, generally speaking, being physically active also improve my brain health, help
me manage my weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and
improve my ability to do everyday activities.
