 Title of the study
“ A study on customer perception towards ELECTRIC VEHICLES in Bharuch city ”

 Justify the title

This study is on a customer perceptions about E-vehicles. study help us to find that
customers problems and misunderstanding about Electric vehicles. Benefits of E-
vehicles. What are the reasons that Electric vehicles are not adopted by customers.

 INTRODUCTION
An Electric Vehicle (EV) refers to any vehicle propelled by one or more electric
motors, using energy stored in rechargeable batteries or another energy storage
device. Unlike conventional vehicles that use gasoline or diesel-powered engines,
EVs primarily rely on electricity for their functioning, significantly reducing the
emission of greenhouse gasses and other pollutants. Electric vehicles can be
classified into three main types based on the energy sources and technologies they
use:

1. Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs): BEVs are fully electric vehicles with
rechargeable batteries and no gasoline engine. They derive all their power
from battery packs and do not emit tailpipe pollutants when driven.
2. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs): PHEVs can recharge the battery
through regenerative braking and “plugging in” to an external electrical power
source. They can run on electric power, gasoline, or a combination of both.
3. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs): HEVs are powered by gasoline and
electricity. The car’s own braking system generates the electric energy to
recharge the battery. This is called ‘regenerative braking,’ a process where
the electric motor helps slow the vehicle and uses some energy normally
converted to heat by the brakes.

 LITERATURE REVIEW

Author : Author : Milad Ghasri , Ali Ardeshiri , Taha Rashidi ( 6 may , 2019 )
Objectives : Study is about that E-vehicles have batter design with less impact
on environment. E-vehicles are more superior. Existing technologies being
replaced by E-vehicles.
Findings : new technology is perceived to be better than an existing technology
which is being replaced, has a significant impact on individuals' decisions.
> Generation Y were found to perceive EVs to have better design with less impact
on the environment.
> generation Z were found to perceive EVs to be superior.
> the perceived advantages across three dimensions of vehicle design , impact
on the environment , and safety. These latent variables are interacted with
price, driving range and body type, respectively, to capture the impact of
perception on preference.
