Pre-Engineered Buildings
Pre-Engineered Buildings
Pre-Engineered Buildings
Kaizen Smart builds are specialists in developing pre-engineered structures or buildings. The
pre-engineered building is a building made up of metal. This building includes a structural
frame, standard roof, and wall support. It is made in a workshop or factory and assembled
at the site. It is a new construction technique replacing the traditional manufacturing
techniques. It is seen as a breakthrough in the industry of construction. These structures are
quite favourable as they need less construction time. These structures are cost-effective,
strong, high quality, and most important require low maintenance. These structures are
quite wide and column-free.
Kaizen Smartbuilds’ Pre-Engineered Building finds wide applications in:
Workshop
Factory
Warehouse
Commercial storage
Stadium
Cold storage
Commercial showroom
Railway stations/platforms/warehouses
Airport
Parking shed
Community hall
There has been a substantial increase in the demand for these structures in recent years.
This is basically due to rapid growth in the construction industry and the need for quick-
track construction
What makes these PEB structures affordable?
Traditional construction techniques require plenty of manpower or labour to complete any
project while PEB constructions require only limited labour. The labour charges in
conventional constructions are huge. The labour costs are drastically reduced in the
construction of PEB making it cost-effective. PEB can be constructed within a few days or
weeks easily in the warehouse and assembling is done at the site. The traditional method of
construction is time-consuming. When the PEB are dismantled, the structures can be reused
or recycled at the other site easily. The parts of the PEB structures are manufactured
separately keeping in mind the natural events and extreme weather conditions. It ensures
the long tenure of these structures for several years. The maintenance cost of PEB is very
low. All these factors make the Pre-Engineered Buildings structure affordable and durable.

Framing system
PEB structures have a frame construction system which includes primary, secondary framing
systems and bracing systems. These three elements combine to form a stable steel building
which withstands all the extreme conditions of weather and natural disasters if any.
Secondary structural frames include purlin and girt of C or Z shapes of different sizes. In this
type of structure, cold form Z sections are mainly used for secondary framing. This greatly
enhances the strength and lowers the weight of the structure. Girt or purlins are the parts
which transfer forces from one frame to another. These are for the overall stability and act
as a framing system against harsh climatic conditions.
Wall Cladding
Single skin wall cladding
This type of structure uses one metal deck sheet. It is designed in such a way that it proves
to be economical for the customers. Its performance is good to moderate. There must be a
single-skin metal roof installed for insulation purposes just below the metal cladding sheet.
It is held by aluminium foil or steel wire mesh rolled over purlins
Sandwich insulated wall panels
These insulated panels are single components which are pre-engineered systems. The raw
materials used are rigid polyurethane, PIR (polyisocyanurate), and IPN (Isophenic). It is also
made up of a mineral wool insulation core sandwiched between layers of metal. One metal
is placed on the external weather side and the other is placed on the pre-finished internal
liner. This gives rise to a single part replacing multi-part constructions
Roof panels
Single skin roof panels
These single-skin metal panels are strips of pre-painted metal that are designed into various
shapes. These are lightweight, flexible, easy to install, and recyclable.
In-situ sandwich roofing system
This type of system consists of two overlapping sheets of corrugated steel. These are
galvanized or have lacquered finish. It is separated by fibreglass insulation and the whole
assembly process is performed on-site.
