foreign tourists. Guimaras mangoes are reportedly served at the
White House and Buckingham Palace.
We are now departing from our jump-off point.

I would like to introduce to you the MANGGAHAN FESTIVAL,

Manggahan festival is a vibrant celebration held annually in
guimaras province, Philippines, to honor the province’s bountiful
mango harvest and showcase its cultural heritage. The festival
typically takes place in May, coinciding with the peak of the
mango season. At the Manggahan Festival, the streets are filled
with mango-shaped, yellow-orange tricycles. Performers wielding
mango-like props dance during the mango-themed parade.
Competitive athletes register for sporting events such as the
Amazing Guimarace, the Tour de Guimaras, and a Motocross
Challenge. For the true fruit lover, there’s the “Mango Eat All
Discuss the You Can”: For only 100 Philippine pesos (about $2), participants
Itinerary enter a space filled with a wealth of mango treats. For 30
minutes, it’s a free-for-all buffet.

Next to our destination is the GUISI LIGHTHOUSE, Constructed in

1894 during the Spanish colonial period, the lighthouse served as
a beacon to guide ships navigating the Guimaras strait and
surrounding waters where it can also prevent shipwrecks and
accidents along the treacherous coastline. It stands atop a hill
in Barangay Dolores, overlooking the scenic coastline and
panoramic views of the sea and neighboring islands. Over the
years, the lighthouse has witnessed significant historical events
and changes in the region, surviving through periods of colonial,
rule, war, and modernization.

Closing Message (blow a whistle and race the red flag)
