EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE 8 TH REGULAR SESSION OF SANGGUNIANG
BARANGAY OF BARANGAY DEAN LEOPOLDO YABES (PUG – OS), SINAIT, ILOCOS SUR HELD AT
BARANGAY HALL ON AUGUST 4, 2024 AT 8:30 O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING.

MINUTES OF THE SESSION:


A. Call to Order:

The special session was called to order by IRWIN M. ANCHETA Punong


Barangay/Presiding Officer at 8: 30 o’clock in the morning who continued to preside over the
session.

Barangay Kagawad Florante Pagud led the prayer seeking the presence and guidance of
the Almighty.

B. Roll Call:
The Presiding Officer asked the Barangay Secretary to call the roll. Thereafter, since
everybody were present a quorum was declared.
C. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Session:
Again, the Barangay Secretary was then requested to read the minutes of the previous
session. After reading, and there are some corrections were made the minutes of the previous
session was approved as read.

D. Privilege Hour
The presiding officer informed he honorable body the result of the Assessment and Validation of the
BDRRMC conducted last July 19, 2024 that Barangay DLY is rank 20 wherein we gathered 60% period covered
was CY 2023 then asked the cooperation of everybody to reached top 5 as target by next year Validation. He also
informed that the drainage canal situated in purok waterlily was already completed and same project at purok Villa
Flores will be soon follow. With regards in the installation of street lights seventeen (17) street light posts were
already established and Air condition of the barangay hall was already fixed.
Other issue the Presiding Officer sadly inform the body the result of the drug test of PWUDs conducted by
LGU of Sinait, Ilocos Sur as some of them tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride or Shabu and
Marijuana, he refuses to mention the names for those who are positive . He encouraged the councils to monitor all
forms of illegal activities especially illegal drugs within their respective sectors.

E. Reading and Referral to Committees of Proposed Ordinances and Resolutions:

- Proposed ordinance. – One (1)


- Propose Resolution - One (1)

F. Committee Reports.

- Barangay Kagawad Geraldine R. Malupeng committee chairperson on Health


informed the body for the continuous feeding of malnourished children and that she
never received any complaints from parents as well as from the BHW/BNS
- The Presiding Officer acknowledge and noted the report of the Committee on Health.
- SK Chairperson Ireneo Zate Jr. informed the body that they distributed school supplies
for those students who have enrolled in college.
- The presiding Officer direct the SK Chairperson to submit after Activity report on the
mater
- Child Development Worker (CDW) Annablle Talaña propose for the purchase of
playing apparatus of her pupils as same is needed for the upcoming assessment.
- Presiding Officer will make appropriate action
G. Business of the Day

- Proposed resolution no. 005 as prepared by the Punong Barangay


- “A resolution declaring the barangay hall as evacuation center to be use as temporary
shelter that will cater the immediate needs of casualties caused by unpredictable
calamities of barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug – os) Sinait, Ilocos Sur.”
- On Motion of Kagawad Vernaflor Ibatuan duly seconded by all the other Barangay
Kagawads said Resolution is unanimously approved.

H. Calendar of Business:

- August 13, 2024 9AM – Meeting of BNS Barangay Hall Baliw, Sinait, ISur
-
I. Other Matters;

- The Punong Barangay reiterate the conduct of FLAG RAISING CEREMONY,


KALINISAN DAY, ZUMBA, HOLY MASS and other activities of the Barangay.
J. Adjournment;

There being no other matter to be discussed, the Punong Barangay adjourned the Session
at exactly 10:20 o’clock AM.
