school.
● I’ve taught ALL levels in English 2 (Pre-AP
(NOW:HADV), College prep, and
Academic/Inclusion).

How this class works: Class, assignments, and attendance
We will use CANVAS as the landing page for our class. All course content and
materials will be posted on CANVAS. All assignments will be available CANVAS,
grouped by cycles. Your assignments will, usually, be assigned to you with a hard
copy. A digital copy will also be available in CANVAS. Do not rely on the
grade/submission/missing assignments in CANVAS. Please refer to PowerSchool,
instead.

Classes will meet every day in person during your scheduled class period. If you
miss class, you should check CANVAS for assignments and handouts AND contact
your teacher (me) directly via email or Remind.

1. Take your seat in your designated seat (you should be in your seat BEFORE the
tardy bell rings).

Grading Policies

Your ACTUAL grades will be posted in PowerSchool, NOT Canvas

It is YOUR responsibility to turn your work in on time.


Cheating of any kind will resort in a 0 with no chance of redemption on Major Exams/Projects;
Cheating of any kind for assignments will resort in a 0 with a chance to make up the grade with half
credit.

Assignments & Late Assignments:
Turn in ALl Hard Copy work into the file slot for your class period number– Do NOT hand it to Ms. Ho or leave it on one
of her desks. Place unfinished work and completed work into their corresponding file slots.
Work is due in class on the due date. Work that is one day late can receive a maximum grade of 70. All other late work will receive a
maximum grade of 50. Work that is more than one week late will not be accepted.
If you have any reason why you may be late in turning in your work past the due day, you may EMAIL me the day Before the due date
asking for an extension– Anytime on the day of the due date or after will Definitely not be granted an extension. It is due to
teacher’s discretion on whether you may be granted an extension or not due to your proof of previous work on your
extension-granting assignment.
In your email, you must include the following:
● Your name
● Your class period
● The SPECIFIC assignment(s) you would like me to grade
● Proof of what you have achieved/completed so far.
If you do not hear from me 2 business/School days after you have sent your email, Please come talk TO me (not at me) about your
assignment. Sometimes your email may have gone into the SPAM/Other folder and I didn’t see it. Or, you may have typed the email
wrong– it happens.
