 Teaching interns are placed in the real world of work called Cooperating Schools.
They are placed under the tutelage of the expert teachers in the school community.
 The Cooperating Principal has expectations of and from prospective teachers who
are placed in their school for teaching internship.
 The role of the Cooperating Principal is to oversee the effective implementation of the
teaching internship program. The orientation with the Cooperating Principal is a must
for him/her to discuss the school’s policies and procedures to be followed to foster
harmonious relationship with the wider school community.
