D. Presenting
Examples/instance In Electrical Installation and Maintenance lots of skills must be practice to be qualified in Electrical works.
s of the new lesson. One of this skill is how you interpret the plan. Electrical works are made by plans. Professionally it was
made by an architect or professional electrical engineer and when the plan is ready that it’s the time
Interpretation of plans or diagrams where been executed to make the project done. But before a man
become an expert and certified for electrical works, they studied first the basic. Example of this is the
connection of one bulb controlled by single pole switch drawn in line diagram and need to be interpret in
schematic diagram or in actual connection.
Electrical Wiring Plan is a technical representation of electrical system by means of a diagram. The
electrical plan is sometimes called as electrical drawing or wiring diagram. It is a type of technical
drawing that delivers visual representation and describes circuits and electrical systems. It consists of
symbols and lines that showcase the engineer's electrical design to its clients. In short, an electrical plan
describes the position of all the electrical apparatus.
E. Discussing New
Concepts and A. LAY-OUT OR LINE DIAGRAM - It is the kind of diagram that is used for electrical plan - It is a
Practicing New Skill representation of an electrical distribution system into a simplified description using a single line - It
shows the location of the materials/ devices to be installed - Sometimes it shows the number of wire per
run(conduit
B. SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM - It is the kind of diagram that is used for trouble-shooting - It shows the
connection of a circuit that uses electrical symbols - It shows all the electrical/electronic parts and how
they are interconnected in an easy-to-follow format
1. Activity
DIRECTIONS: Read the following description and give what is being described in the parts of electrical
wiring plan.
________ 1. It is a technical representation of an electrical system proposed to be installed in building or
house.
________ 2. It is a part of electrical wiring plan which shows the size entrance conduit.
________ 3. It is a part of wiring plan which shows the number of branches of electrical circuit.
________4. It shows the meaning of electrical symbols used in electrical plan.
________5. It shows the name and location of the proposed wiring installation.
________ 6. It is a plan of a room or floor of the building drawn to scale as if viewed from above.
________ 7. It is a part of the plan classification of service and type of wiring method to be used.
________ 8. The PEC requires that at least one ____ amp is supplied to the laundry outlets.
________ 9. The PEC requires sufficient circuitry to supply residential load of _____watts per square
meter. ________ 10. The minimum circuit load of ____amperes circuit breaker shall be used for light
circuit.
2. Analysis Where should GFCIs be used?
It is recommended that GFCIs be installed in areas where appliances and power tools are used in close
proximity to water. Tap water or wet objects are able to conduct electricity very easily and can connect
your body to a ground potential, thus increasing your chances of receiving a shock from a ground fault.
Appliances that have built-in GFCI protection, as now required for hair dryers, may not need additional
GFCI protection, but there are still many appliances not equipped with GFCI protection.
3. Abstraction
What are the different types of electrical diagram.?
Why it is important to learn the types of electrical diagram?
B. Evaluating ACTIVITY #2
learning TRUE OR FALSE
________1. There are two main lines in our source, these are L1 and L2.
________2. Slashes lines are referring to the number of wires per run.
________3. The two terminals of bulbs are connected only on the terminal of the switch.
________4. You can alternate the connection of the Main line. Where line 2 can be connected the bulbs
and L1 can be connected to switch or vice versa.
________5. The Letter R is symbolized to the wire connected between bulb and switch.
C. Agreement
Assignment Research about Electrical Device and Materials Estimation.
