What is meant by open - loop and closed - loop control system? Illustrate your answer with suitable labeled

A battery of open-circuit voltage 100V and internal resistance of r is connected to the terminals ab of the
circuit shown in fig. 1. When switch S is open, the current supplied by the battery is 2A, find the value of r
and the terminal voltage of the battery.
When switch S is closed, the voltage across R is twice that across the 10 Ohm resistor, Calculate the value
of R and the voltage across each parallel branch. (16M)
