HISTORY
The Philippine National Police (PNP) originated from the Philippine Constabulary
or the PC, which was inaugurated on August 8, 1901, establishing it as an insular
police force under the American regime. On August 8, 1975, Presidential Decree
no. 765 was issued, establishing the Philippine Constabulary Integrated National
Police or the PC/INP as the country’s national police force. These fragmented
and diverse local police units were integrated into a national police force with the
Philippine Constabulary as its nucleus. After the People’s Revolution in 1986, a
new Constitution was promulgated providing for a police force, which is “national
in scope and civilian in character.” Consequently, Republic Act No. 6975 entitled,
“An Act Establishing the Philippine National Police under a Reorganized
Department of the Interior and Local government (DILG),” was signed into law on
December 13, 1990, which took effect on January 1, 1991. Subsequently, the
PNP was operational on January 29, 1991, whose members were formerly the
PC and the INP and the absorption of the selected members from the major
service units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines such as the Philippine Air
Force Security Command, the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Navy,
and the Philippine Army. Thus, to further strengthen the PNP into a highly
efficient and competent police force, Republic Act No. 8551 entitled “PNP Reform
and the Reorganization Act of 1998” was enacted on February 17, 1998,
amending certain provisions of Republic Act No. 6975.

MISSION
The PNP shall enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and

NARRATIVE:
Monday, October 2, 2023 at about 8000hrs, all the interns in the Alpha platoon
went to the headquarters of the Valenzuela police. The police officer in charge of
our training was Senior Police Staff Sergeant Ching. He informed us of our duty
as an intern and oriented us about how he became the police. Our group,
consisting mainly of 5 girls, was assigned to the Police Community Relation Unit
to segregate the documents that the PNP has done, such as plan and
establishment visitation Bantay Eskwela and many more. Then, at about
1200hrs, we need to sign for time out and time in at 1300hrs. On or everywhere
at 1600hrs, our platoon leader instructed us to form and pull out. Tuesday,
October 3, 2023. at about 8000hrs, SPO3 Ching invited the girls to help in the
meeting of the officials in the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Valenzuela

HISTORY
The Philippine National Police (PNP) originated from the Philippine Constabulary
or the PC, which was inaugurated on August 8, 1901, establishing it as an
insular police force under the American regime. On August 8, 1975, Presidential
Decree no. 765 was issued, establishing the Philippine Constabulary Integrated
National Police or the PC/INP as the country’s national police force. These
fragmented and diverse local police units were integrated into a national police
force with the Philippine Constabulary as its nucleus. After the People’s
Revolution in 1986, a new Constitution was promulgated providing for a police
force, which is “national in scope and civilian in character.” Consequently,
Republic Act No. 6975 entitled, “An Act Establishing the Philippine National
Police under a Reorganized Department of the Interior and Local government
(DILG),” was signed into law on
December 13, 1990, which took effect on January 1, 1991. Subsequently, the
PNP was operational on January 29, 1991, whose members were formerly the
PC and the INP and the absorption of the selected members from the major
service units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines such as the Philippine Air
Force Security Command, the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Navy, and the
Philippine Army. Thus, to further strengthen the PNP into a highly efficient and
competent police force, Republic Act No. 8551 entitled “PNP Reform and the
Reorganization Act of 1998” was enacted on February 17, 1998, amending
certain provisions of Republic Act No. 6975.
41
PNP MANDATE
Republic Act 6975 entitled An Act Establishing the Philippine National Police
under a reorganized Department of the Interior and Local Government and Other
Purposes as amended by RA 8551 Philippine National Police Reform and
Reorganization Act of 1998 and further amended by RA 9708.
MISSION
The PNP shall enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and
order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of
the community.
VISION
Imploring the aid of the Almighty, by 2030, We shall be a highly capable, effective
and credible police service working with partnership with a responsive community
towards the attainment of a safer place to live, work and do business.

NARRATIVE:
On February 24, 2024, this day is our orientation day about the CEAP in Our
Lady of Fatima University. Our professor Ms. Tee conducted the seminar. She
gave us brief discussion on what will be the benefits of this program. On March
9, 2024, our subject for review is Criminal Law. Ma’am Desiree is our speaker for
this day. She is a dean from other school and one of the youngest person to
become a dean. She is so good in teaching the subject, she speaks so clearly so
we learned a lot from that day. On March 10, 2024, the subject for this day is
about Criminal Justice System with our lecturer JO1 Aban. She discussed the
lesson clearly and we absorbed the topic so well. On March 23, 2024, the
subject for this day is about Criminal Law Book 2 together with our speaker
Police Captain Hife. He is funny and very smart person. On March 24, 2024, this
is my favorite day when we met the former Top 1 Board Passer in CLE, Attorney.
Jeffrey Bajita. He is very smart and very funny person. He speaks loud and clear.
He gave us tips on not just to pass the board but how to be on Top. We really
learned a lot about the board exam that day. I wish we will be given a chance to
meet Attorney. Bajita again.
