2018 Unidata Users Workshop

Reducing Time to Science:
Evolving Workflows for Geoscience Research and Education

25-28 June 2018
Boulder, Colorado

The Unidata Users Committee invites you to join Unidata staff, community members, and guests for a community workshop to take place in 25-28 June 2018 in Boulder, Colorado.

The workshop will bring together community members, and distinguished speakers, and Unidata staff, to raise awareness of the current trends in the academic geoscience community with an emphasis on Data Proximate Analysis, Machine Learning and Data Analytics, Using GOES-16 Data, and Workingwith Ensemble NWP Output. Scientists and educators from the academic geoscience community will present ideas and techniques for making effective use of geoscience data and share activities, course materials, and ideas for improving education and research. There will be hands-on workshops, a poster session, and time for informal discussions with presenters and Unidata developers.

Workshop Location and Hours

Workshop sessions took place in at UCAR's Center Green campus in Boulder, Colorado. Sessions are scheduled from 9:00am until 5:00pm each day. Shuttle bus transportation between the workshop hotels and meeting site will be provided.
