MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Despite a high total of personal bests, Morehead State Rifle could not overcome former OVC rival Jacksonville State Saturday in Alabama. The Gamecocks defeated MSU 4675-4655.

In Air Rifle, Adrianna Beard tied her best-ever score at 593 to lead the Eagles. Freshman Haven Eastman was close behind with a personal-best 589. George Kuhne (586), Hayden Bell (584) and Trey Myers (581) also hit the targets for an above-580 total.

In Smallbore, Beard also led the charge with a 579, tying for team-high honors with Kuhne who shot a personal standard 579 too. Myers and Bell each fired 578 with Bell's total being his best-ever on that gun. Finally, Chloe Shannon's 576 established her personal best.

The Eagles travel to Martin, Tenn., next weekend to face the host UTM Skyhawks Saturday and Murray State Sunday.
