Learners Book page 10 -play a video about the difference between fiction
Activity Book page 10 and non-fiction stories.
Fiction and non-fiction books - explain what does it mean.
Card, paper, a stapler, colored pens
Key vocabulary/ Target Language:
Fiction, non-fiction, stories, characters, information
Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

Pre-listening:
-Ask the student what they know.
-Put the videos.
-Show the PowerPoint slide explain each vocabulary with a example.
Time:20 min

During-listening:
Whole

-Activity one listing whole class.


All student will have a worksheet with picture of a popular stories and they match the picture with
a correct answer.

Post-listening:
-Activity two all class will do the activity on their book.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher):

Teacher will read the activity and give them a time to do it, in this time teacher go around the class
and help the student if they need.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1):

Ask learners to look at page 10 in their Learners Book. Focus on the book The Snowy Day. Ask
learners to identify the characters (a rabbit and a duck) and if they have seen this book before (in
the picture in Lesson 1)
Independent Experience (small group activity 2):

Choose a book: Activity 2


With the learners, read what the two children are saying in the speech bubbles on page 10 of the
Learners Book. Ask: What sort of books do they like.
