I. Objectives
 Explain how the members of the solar system revolved around the sun,
 Identify the kinds of the solar system, and
 Create a diagram showing a solar system.

II. Subject matter


a. Topic: The Solar System
b. Reference: Science for Daily Use V. Conchita T. Tan, page; 152-153
c. Materials: Cartolina, Manila paper, Pentel pen, Chart.
d. Science process: Creating, observing, Explaining
e. Value focus: Knowing the importance of the solar system.

III. Methodology
1. Review
A 5- item check-up test will be administered
2. Motivation
- Show the planet of the Chart.
- Identify the planet of the chart.
- Organized planets from their distance to the sun from the nearest to farthest.
3. Activity
Identify by writing numerals 1-8 and arranging from nearest to farthest in order of
each planet from the sun.
Group yourselves into 2 and make a leader to volunteer in front to answer the
activity with the help of the member.
The first group who finished will be the winner.

4. Analysis
class, I have here a video of the solar system. The solar system is known as the
sun’s family. It includes the sun’s planets and their moon and asteroids which
travel around the sun in defined paths called orbit. The sun is the center of the
Solar system. It is a star that produces a large amount of radiant energy.
The planets are heavenly bodies that revolve around the sun they reflect light
coming from the sun.

5. Abstraction
Now class, based on our discussion, what you have learned about our topic?
We have learned the importance of the solar system. do you think we should
appreciate the solar system? Why?
Aside from planet earth what planet would you like to live in?
6. Application
Class, find your pair and answer the following:
Name the inner planets in the correct order from the sun.

IV. Evaluation

Research about the origin of the Solar System and illustrate how the Solar System was
