Summary of Transformations

This document summarizes common graph transformations including: 1) Vertical and horizontal shifts which move the graph up/down or left/right by adding or subtracting a value from the x- or y-coordinates. 2) Reflections about the x-axis or y-axis which flip the graph across the axis by multiplying x- or y-values by -1. 3) Stretching or compressing graphs vertically or horizontally by multiplying y- or x-values by a number greater than or less than 1. 4) The order of operations for combining multiple transformations is listed.
