Long term goal of BHML Industries Ltd. as per BSCI COC


Introduction :
Long term goal are the essential part of any company strategy. An American author Tony
Robbins said, “setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible in to visible`. We have to
eventually walk to walk be the process of long term setting goals. Proper planning and executing
are the stepping to achievement of company goals.
BHML Industries Ltd. is one of the most successful sweaters manufacture in Bangladesh. BHML
Industries Ltd. implement various buyers COC Code of conduct in the work place for the batter
and safe work place. We have long term goals. Our corporate goal is to create an outstanding
value for customers and other stake holders.
As per BSCI code of conduct we are committed to make a long-term goal by implementing BSCI
code of conduct in our premises. We can set our long-term goal by implementing COC of BSCI
as below:
Workers involvement and protection:
Workers mutual cooperative attitude through information and exchange awakening about
responsibility, empowering by providing training in pediatric health and safety. Which play a
vital role for the set a long-term goal,
Freedom Of association and collective bargaining:
As per code of conduct of BSCI we shall
1. Respect the right of workers.
2. Avoiding the discrimination behavior
3. Respect workers right to bargain collectively.
Prohibition of Discrimination :
Discrimination shall not be tolerated in hiring, recruitment, access to training, promotion,
Termination or retirement based on gender, age, religion, race caste, birth, social background,
disability, ethic and nation origin, nationality, sexual orientation, marital status or any other
condition that could give rise to discrimination that is not preferable for the set of long term goal.
So, discrimination is totally prohibition in the BHML Industries Ltd.

Fair Remuneration:
Every Workers should have right to get fair Remuneration for his/her family. BHML Industries
Ltd. provide fair remuneration as per BMWG-2013 according new salary grade. BHML Industries
Ltd. also consider their salary who are experienced and educated and observed to the workers for
the level of batter leaving. Which can be a vital role for the set of long term goal for that we
provide attendance bonus and OT with their salary ensuring workers are getting their rights
properly. We are careful about living wages of workers. Although we cannot do that 100 %, but
the workers who are not meeting expected living wages they are under survey. After that we will
ensure their demand.
Hours of Works:
Decent Working hour can be playing a vital role invisible or visible to set the long-term goal. So,
as per considering advantage of workers BHML Industries Ltd. honor the code of conduct of
BSCI, “Hours of work”. Which is very big part of business success. To reduce extra working
hour by proper planning from Planning Department. and Industrial Engineering team can be
helped to reduce the migration of workers. So, reducing migration we can set the long-term goal.

Occupational Health and safety:


Workers safety is the most important part for any company. BHML Industries Ltd. is binding to
ensure health and safety working Environment assessing risk and taking all necessary measure to
eliminate or reduce it. We believe that workers is the heart of an Organization. If our workers are
safe company will meet the particular target easily. By ensuring workers occupational health and
safety we can set a long term goal. For that we have a strong Safety Committee construction
from ACCORD.
Protection for Environment:
Environment is the most important issue for any company. BHML Industries Ltd. keeps a close
watch on the damage of environment. If the environmental protection aspects are not consider,
then it will effect its impact on public life. Which can disrupt live journey. So considering its
surrounding BHML Industries Ltd. works to insure the security of the environment. So that
through supportive collaboration can be set a long term goal.
No child labor:
Although the ILO convention have been told about the requirement of juvenile labour, but BSCI
completely discourage about the juvenile labor. The objective of this COC is to protect juvenile
labour for any time of harassment. Children are also at risk for any work that can be the cause of
serious harm his life. If he/she is employed before his/her education begin, his mental
development will be inhabitant. Which cannot bring good prosperity for the country and nation.
So, BHML Industries Ltd. agreed with BSCI code of conduct in this matter for set a long term
goal.
No Precarious Employment:
It is mandatory to every employee to know about his/her Job description, salary, benefits, and
facilities. ‍It is their fundamental right. If we appointing someone recognizing any kind of
suspicious, as well as feedback cannot be expected by them and one kind of suspicious will work
in them. So we are ensuring appointment letter from the first day of appointing. Whereas all
facilities including salary, overtime, vacation or leave, maternity etc. are described. As a result
they can work happily. Which is very important for batter feedback and set for long term goal?

Conclusion:
Reviewing the overall aspect of BSCI code of conduct BHML Industries Ltd. Confronts with
BSCI. BHML Industries Ltd. believes that, if workers get their fair wages, right of bargaining,
safe work place, care of working hour, ensure professional health and safety beside that if we can
ensure environmental protection, good and safe working environment long term goal can be
developed through proper training will play a vital role in the implementation.
