engineering from (your university name), (place name), I am very fascinated for Science and
keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering and
drawn a way to choose Computer Science and Engineering as my major with an intense urge to
develop into the challenging field, this fascination towards the field of computer science started
ever since my childhood, where windows 96 came into existence giving a chance of exposing
and using opportunities to everyone around the world. Video gaming in young times gave
interest towards researching the technologies in it. This fascination combined with opportunity
paved a way for my master’s program.

Education and Work Experience

Born and raised in ( name of the city), the metropolis capital city of (name of your state) of
India, I was indoctrinated into the time tested and rich tradition and culture of my state and
country. My schooling helped me develop better in the field of science, right from the initial
stages, with different techno fests and science exposure from my school, I had a penchant
towards Mathematics, Science, and research in general. This basic interest led me to take up
Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as my major subjects in high school. At high school, I was
really astounded by the confluence of Mathematics and Physics, the explanations of science in
general to day to day activities like how a car brakes function, how a satellite launch happens etc.
My sincere efforts and sedulous ability helped me to achieve (x%)in my intermediate education.
I undertook(your specialization or branch in under graduation for example ECE / CSC/IT)as a
major in my undergraduate study. As I stand at the verge of completing my undergraduate study
and in the job fair conducted during the same year, I was recruited by (company name if have

Why I want to pursue MSc in Computer Science

Computers have always been a passion for me. Computer Science in its applications and
technology has always given me many questions to answer. As I grew older the questions were
answered but at the same time many new questions with more complexity started haunting me.
The curiosity to search for the answers aroused a passion towards Computers and started
exploring the developments and applications in Computer Science but that did not quench my
thirst for knowledge. Then I could understand only a graduate education can offer me a great
deal of intellectual and personal satisfaction and challenge. This is the main reason to plan my
masters in Computer Science.
When I was entering Undergraduate course, there was a major recession in IT field. There was
news, that many IT professionals who went abroad from India, were suffering from recession,
their jobs being snatched, and were working as waiters in restaurants, and many of them who
returned home were jobless. So many stories were circulating such as computer engineers
committing suicides etc. And my parents would not allow me to join computer science branch. I
was put in ECE branch which they thought was an evergreen field. My dreams were shattered
just like that! I was pursuing my course without my heart, but DETERMINED TO CHANGE
MY CAREER AT ANY COST TO COMPUTER SCIENCE.
The main reason in going for my international masters is that an advanced/ credible degree in
Computer Science field will give me the academic excellence with right impetus, development
and required knowledge for reaching at the top of career in future as Career in IT is considered
one of the most high-paying jobs and is full of opportunities. The pool of talented computer
engineers working in IT companies across the globe shows that IT can take a person to higher
levels. Even after completion my computer course I could not find a better scope for my career
when compared to the technical geeks where he/she utilizes her knowledge or the skills at the
utmost to reach the top of the career hierarchy pyramid. So I took a bold step to change my
career and further my betterment by working in the fascinating field of IT and Computers rather
than in Engineering, these are the main reasons why I opted to do my masters in this field and
upsurge my technical skills more to mount.
