II. Answer in brief :

1. What is Presentation? What are its uses?

A presentation is a structured display of
information, typically delivered using slides, to
communicate ideas, data, or messages to an
audience. Presentations often combine text,
images, charts, videos, and animations to
make the content engaging and
understandable.
Presentations are used in
business,education,marketing and
sales ,training and workshops etc
2. What are different views options available
in PowerPoint?

PowerPoint consists of different views to help in the

creation and presentation of slides. The views are Normal
View, Slide Sorter View, Notes Page and Slide show.

Normal View
It is the default view where one can write and design
presentation. It has four working areas: Outline tab, Slides
tab, Slide pane, Notes pane. In Outline tab it displays
small images called thumbnails. Slides tab shows all the
text on the slides. Slide pane shows the currently selected
slide. Notes pane is used for entering notes about the
current slide.

Slide Sorter View

It displays the thumbnails of all the slides in the
presentation. It allows to sort, move, add and delete slides
easily

Notes Page
It displays a page layout of the notes and the slide. It
allows to rearrange the notes and compare
them to the content of the slide.
Slide Show View
It displays the presentation from the beginning with
animation

3. What is the difference between a

presentation and a slide?
A presentation is the full set of slides used to
share information or data . It includes all the
slides arranged in order to tell a story or
explain something to an audience.
Whereas A slide is just one page in the
presentation. Each slide shows a piece of
information, like a picture, some text, or a
chart.
So, a presentation is like a book, and each
slide is a page in that book.

3. Type the text.

6. What is the difference between animation

and transition(slide transition)
● Animation: This effect is applied to elements within a
slide, like text, images, or shapes. Animations control
how these elements appear, move, or disappear on
the slide, helping to emphasize key points or make
the content more engaging. For example, text can
fade in, images can zoom, or charts can build step-
by-step.
● Transition: This effect is applied between slides,
controlling how one slide changes to the next.
Transitions helps movement from one slide to
another, like a fade, wipe, or slide effect, giving the
presentation a smooth flow.

What is a slide master ?

The slide master is template for the entire presentation. Changes made in
slide master will change the formatting of all the slides in the presentation.

Select View tab—->Presentation Views group—>Slide Master. The Slide

Master tab appears. Select the top Master Slide, edit the background,
background styles, slide titles, slide animation

Using the slide master saves time and effort when designing a
presentation, as you only need to make changes in one place instead of
individually adjusting each slide.
