Materials and tools:
Use for the dress the same type of yarn from which the frog was crocheted. I used Sport
5ply cotton blend yarn from Alize Cotton Gold
Cream 1, Mint 522, pink 518, vivid pink 33
2 small red buttons
Crochet hook 2 mm
Tapestry needle

Abbreviation used:
st(s) – stitch(es);
ch – chain;
sl-st – slip stitch;
sc – single crochet;
inc – increase (2 sc worked into the same stitch);
dec – decrease (2 sc crocheted off together);
hdc – half double crochet;
dc - double crochet;
inc-dc – increase of double crochet;
(sc, in)... times – repeat instructions in parenthesis the indicated number of times.
Numbers in parenthesis at the end of a round indicate the stitch count after completion
of the row or round.

DRESS PATTERN
Ch46 with cream yarn, make sure the chain isn’t twisted. Insert the hook in the first chain
stitch and join the foundation chain with a sl-st.

Continue working in joined rounds. Begin each round with ch1 (ch3 after round 13) and
finish with a sl-st in the first stitch of the round. The first stitch should be made into the
same stitch in which the sl-st was crocheted.
From the round 3 start alternate mint, milk and pink colors. Change color each time you
crochet the last st. of the round.

Rnd 1: (cream) 1 sc in every stitch (46)


Rnd 2: (cream) 9 sc, ch7 (skip 6 sts), 16 sc, ch7 (skip 6 sts), 9 sc (48)
Rnd 3: (mint) 1 sc in every stitch (48)
Rnd 4: (cream) 4 sc, inc, 13 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc, 13 sc, inc, 4 sc (52)

Rnd 5: (pink) 1 sc in every stitch (52)
Rnd 6: (cream) 5 sc, inc, 13 sc, inc, 12 sc, inc, 13 sc, inc, 5 sc (56)
Rnd 7: (mint) 1 sc in every stitch (56)
Rnd 8: (cream) 1 sc in every stitch (56)
Rnd 9: (pink) 1 sc in every stitch (56)
Rnd 10: (cream) 5 sc, dec, 13 sc, dec, 12 sc, dec, 13 sc, dec, 5 sc (52)
Rnd 11: (cream) 1 sc in every stitch (52)
Change color to vivid pink
Rnd 12: 1 sl-st in every stitch (52)
Rnd 13: (insert the hook under the back loops of pink sts and at the same time under the
cream sts of Round 11) – 1 sc in every st. (52)
Rnd 14: (1 dc, inc-dc) x 26 times (78)
Rnd 15: (2 dc, inc-dc) x 26 times (104)
Rnd 16: 1 dc in every stitch (104)
Rnd 17: (3 sc, inc) x 26 (130)
Fasten off and weave in.

Ruffle sleeves
Attach cream yarn to the sleeve opening, make ruffles only along the upper side.
Ruffles: Ch1, *(hdc, dc, hdc) into the same st., sc in next st.*, alternate from * to * until
you decorate the upper side of the sleeve. When finish ruffles make ch1, then sl-st into
the last made st. Fasten off and weave in.

Shoulder straps
Ch30 with vivid pink, leaving the yarn tails for sewing from both ends.
Sew straps to the belt of the dress. Sew the buttons.
