Operation
Traffic Note
AD only AVBL to VFR traffic.
Outside ATC OPS Hours controlled lighting system. Activate RWY edge and stop end lights only and
remain on for 15min.
RWY Restriction
ACFT larger than B752 require push-back off the RWY after LDG if LDG roll is beyond INT with TWY E/F.
TWY Restriction
TWY C, J width 16m / 52ft.
TWY A, D, G, H width 14m / 46ft.
TWY B width 9m / 30ft.
Noise Abatement Procedure
Avoid overflying St. Athan village.
Engine Run-Up Areas
ENG tests permitted between 0800-2000‡. Notify ATC and advise whether attendance of Fire Service
is required.
Warnings
The UK wake turbulence separation during APCH/DEP differs from ICAO, see CRAR United Kingdom.
Road controlled by TFC lights in undershoot of RWY 07.
Uncontrolled vehicular TFC can be encountered on the AD outside ATC OPS hours.
ARRIVAL
Communication
ACFT call CARDIFF APCH 5min before entry, if unable contact ST. ATHAN TWR and remain OUTSIDE
CONTROLLED AIRSPACE until an ATC CR to enter CAS has been obtained.
Advise ATC prior to ARR if not able to backtrack the RWY when unable to vacate RWY at TWY E.
COM Failure: See CRAR United Kingdom.

VFR Traffic Pattern
RWY 07 right-hand circuit.
Warnings
Expect turbulence during strong NW winds on APCH RWY 25 caused by hangars north of RWY.
