Title: Name, Explain and Draw

RUBRICS
•Earth rotates on its axis, this makes
most constellations appear to rise in
the east and set in the west during the
night.
• There is a group of stars that appear in the
sky all night long and all year long. It
seems that these stars do not rise and set,
but circle the Earth’s North Pole each
night. These stars are called circumpolar.
•Constellations group of stars that form
a pattern in the sky
•The shapes you see all depend on
your point of view.

• Constellations are useful because they can
help people to recognize stars in the sky. By
looking for patterns, the stars and locations
