Christopher McPherson, Ph.D. is a staff scientist in the NIEHS Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) in the Mechanistic Toxicology Branch. He specializes in neurotoxicology and neurobiology. Christopher McPherson’s research examines in vitro and in vivo mechanisms of neurotoxicity throughout the lifespan, with a focus on characterizing inflammatory and molecular alterations due to contaminant exposure. His other interests include the use of high-throughput and high-content models to assess the neurotoxic potential of chemicals.
Christopher McPherson obtained his B.S. in Life Sciences from Arizona State University, followed by a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
