Worker Training Program

Ms. Ahlmark is a Program Analyst in the Worker Education and Training Program (WETP) of the Division of Extramural Research and Training (DERT) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). As a Program Analyst, Ms. Ahlmark is primarily responsible for administering and analyzing grants and contracts related to the extramural training program, and serves as a Program Administrator of the WETP Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program to support computer and web-based training initiatives for hazardous waste workers and chemical emergency responders. She serves as the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for the management and operation of the National Clearinghouse on Worker Safety and Health Training, a technical resource contract of the WETP.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Ahlmark served as a Technical Information Specialist in the Superfund Research Program (DERT, NIEHS) from 1999-2008, and a Microbiologist in the Quality Assurance Laboratory (Division of Intramural Research, NIEHS) from 1991-1999.

Ms. Ahlmark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University.
