MY TRAVEL ITINERARY

PROVINCE DESTINATION: ALBERTA PERIOD: 30 DAYS

Day 1-4: Toronto

Explore the iconic CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium.


Stroll around the Distillery District for its unique shops
and galleries.
Visit the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and the Art

Gallery of Ontario (AGO). Take a ferry to Toronto Islands

for a relaxing day by the waterfront.

Day 5-6 Mohkinstsis (Calgary)

Blackfoot and Métis programming tells stories of the


region’s Indigenous people. A full village made up of
historic buildings and artifacts that includes a bakery,
stables and a working steam trail..

Day 7-9: Banff National Park

explore the birthplace of skiing in the Canadian


Rockies. Mt. Norquay’s sightseeing chairlift offers
stunning views and a chance to learn about the
mountain’s rich history. Wander along the viewing
boardwalk for sweeping panoramas of the Sundance
Range, Mt. Rundle, Tunnel Mountain, the town of Banff
and the Bow River Valley.
Day 10-12 Canmore and Kananaskis

Escape with Iinisskimmaakii, Buffalo Stone Woman, through a guided exploration of scenic
trails situated in the Canadian Rocky Mountains

Day 13-14 The Canadian Badlands

Explore a prehistoric world at the Royal Tyrrell

Museum in the Canadian Badlands. Located less

than two hours from Calgary, the museum’s state-

of-the-art galleries house one of the world’s largest

displays of dinosaur remains, and Canada’s largest

collection of prehistoric plant descendants. Enroll in

one of the museum’s guided programs to hunt for

fossils or tour the Discover the beautiful geography, hidden history and unique culture of

the Canadian Badlands with this Drumheller-based tour company. The company provides

an award-winning tour of Drumheller and even the possibility of a hayride into a herd of

buffalo that they feed them right beside the wagon. View the Hoodoos, the Badlands and

Horsethief Canyon .

Day 15-17Lake Louise


Relax at the Lake Louise foreshore Hike to the Lake

Louise – When I think of iconic Canadian activities a
few come to mind. Go ice skating on Lake Louise
Day 18-20 Banff National Park–Lake Louise–Columbia Icefield–
Jasper National Park
Enjoy a day of scenic grandeur. First stop is Lake
Louise, whose turquoise waters create a natural
mirror that reflects the surroundings. Up next: a
stop at the Columbia Icefield to experience the Ice
Explorer, an all-terrain vehicle that travels on ice
measuring 750 feet thick. Then, journey north into
Jasper National Park, where precipitous gorges,
snowcapped summits, and lakes of exquisite blues
and greens come into view as the motorcoach scales
three mountain passes. Later, perhaps take an
optional float trip down the Athabasca River. Enjoy an orientation tour of the town of
Jasper upon arrival.

Day 21-22 Vancouver–Rocky


Mountaineer–Kamloops
Riding the Rails At Vancouver’s Rocky
Mountaineer Station, board the Rocky
Mountaineer train to follow the Fraser Canyon
and the Thompson River through beautiful
landscapes to historic Kamloops. Tonight, enjoy
free time in Kamloops.
Day 22-24 Kamloops–Rocky Mountaineer–Banff, Alberta
The Continental Divide Back aboard the
Rocky Mountaineer, journey from Kamloops
eastward to Shuswap Lake with its many miles of
shoreline. Follow the Kicking Horse River and pass
over the Continental Divide into Banff National
Park

Day 25-30: Return to Toronto

Wrap up my trip by revisiting favorite spots or

exploring any missed attractions in Toronto.

Depart from Toronto.
