DOG PATTERN

!!! To make your dog fluffier, I recommend crocheting it inside out. Backcombing
the back side creates a fluffier effect than the front side!!!

Legs and body:

First leg:

Use white yarn.

Work following the crochet oval pattern.
Chain 4.

1 R – starting to the 2nd st from hook: inc, 1sc, 3sc to 1st, 2sc across the bottom of the
chain (8)
2-8 R – 8sc (7 Rs)
9 R – 1dc, 4sc, 3dc (8)
10 R – (inc, 1sc)×4 (12)
11 R – (inc, 2sc)×4 (16)
12 R – (inc, 3sc)×4 (20)
13-15 R – 20sc (3 Rs)
16 R – 10sc (don't finish the row)

Second leg, body:

Repeat round of R 1-15 of first leg.

16 R – 8sc (don't finish the row)
Don't fasten off.

ATTENTION: Everybody has different crochet tension and if you see that the row ends
are not symmetrical on both legs, just crochet 1sc more or 1sc less if needed.

Continue: chain 5 and join the first leg with slip stitch.

-4-
Place the marker to mark the beginning of the row.
17 R – 20sc around the first leg, 5sc on the first side of the chain, 20sc around the second
leg, 5sc on the second side of the chain (50)

18 R – 20sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 20sc, inc, 3sc, inc (54)

19 R – 20sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 20sc, inc, 5sc, inc (58)

Start stuffing the legs.

In the following round add brown yarn to form the spots.

For your convenience I highlighted the stitches to be worked in brown yarn in bold
underlined. Do the yarn color change as follows: grab a new color yarn strand at the stage of
finishing a stitch in a previous color.

20 R – 8sc, 7sc, 43sc (58)

21 R – 7sc, 9sc, 42sc (58)
22 R – 6sc, 11sc, 41sc (58)
23-27 R – 5sc, 13sc, 40sc (5 Rs)
28 R – 6sc, 11sc, 41sc (58)
29 R – 7sc, 9sc, 42sc (58)
30 R – 8sc, 7sc, 43sc (58)
31-33 R – 58sc (3 Rs)
34 R – 33sc, 7sc, 18sc (58)
35 R – 32sc, 9sc, 17sc (58)

39 R – 9sc, dec, 20sc, 8sc, dec, 15sc (54)
40 R – 31sc, 7sc, 16sc (54)

Crochet 9-10sc to move the beginning of the row to the left, so decreases would be evenly
on the sides of the toy. Place the marker to mark the beginning of the round. Stuff it as you go.
