Affirmative to Negative (Only Previous Year Question Based)

Rule 1: প্রথমেই প্রমে দেওয়া বাক্যটি লক্ষ্য ক্রমে হমব, নিনেিষ্ট নক্ছু শব্দ নবেযোি থাক্মল দে অিুযায়ী বাক্য পনরবেিি ক্রমে হমব.

Affirmative Negative
Every যুক্ত দক্ামিা শব্দ থাক্মল ; দযেি : Everyone, Everybody, Every mother Every এর স্থমল There is no বেমব, অেঃপর Every এর পমরর শব্দটি বেমব,
ইেযানে..Example: Every mother loves her child. অেঃপর But বেমব. Ex: there is no mother but loves her child.

Must থাক্মল। Ex: He must do the. Work. Cannot but/cannot help বেমব। যনে cannot help বোমিা হয়, োহমল েুল Verb
এর োথ ing যুক্ত হমব। Ex:He cannot but do the work or He cannot help
doing the work.

Always থাক্মল. Ex: He is always late. Never বেমব এবং Sentence এর Adjective এর নবপরীোথক্
ি শব্দ বেমব। Ex: He
is never punctual.

Only/alone থাক্মল, Ex: Only Allah can help us. None but (বযাক্তক্তর দক্ষ্মে), Nothing but (বস্তু), Not More than/Not less than
বেমব। Ex: None But Allah can help us.

Both.....and অথবা শুধু and যুক্ত থাক্মল, Ex: He is both a doctor and a Both.....and এর স্থমল Not Only......But Also বেমব। Ex: He is not only a
teacher. doctor but also a teacher.

Very থাক্মল, Ex: He is very bad boy. Very এর পনরবমেি At All বেমব, Ex: He is not good at all.

Had to থাক্মল, Ex: She had to laugh. Could not but বেমব, Ex: She could not but laugh.

উপরে উরেখিত ক োন শব্দ নো থো রে কেরেরে দু'ভোরে এ টি Sentence ক Negative েো কেরত পোরে,

i) Auxiliary Verb যুক্ত Sentence দক্ Negative ক্রমে হমল Auxiliary verb+Not+Adjective এর নবপরীোথক্
ি শব্দ বযবহার ক্মর ক্রমে হমব।

Example : Affirmative : He is a good boy, ------>> Negative: He is not a bad boy.

Ii) Auxiliary Verb নবহীি Sentence দক্ Negative ক্রার েেয় Tense এবং Person অিুোমর Do/Does/Did+not+Adjective এর নবপরীোথক্
ি শব্দ বোমে হমব।

Example: He likes me.. --->> He does not hate me.,

Note: First Person এেং Second person এে কেরে do/did েরে। Third person এে কেরে does েরে।

Assertive to Exclamatory or Vice Versa

Assertive Exclamatory
Sentence এর েমধয a অথবা an থাক্মল। Ex: You are a great fool. What+a/an+Adjective+Subject+Verb+!(Exclamation Mark), Ex: What a fool
you are!

A/An িা থাক্মল। Ex: The Scenery is very nice. How+ adjective + subject +verb+! , Ex: How nice the scenery is!

It is a matter of joy that + পমরর অংশ, Ex: It is a matter of joy that we have .Hurrah! +.................. Ex: Hurrah! We have won the game.
won the game

It is a matter of sorrow that+ পমরর অংশ, Ex: It is a matter of sorrow that i Alas!..................... Ex: Alas! I'm undone.

It is shameful that+Fie এর পমরর অংশ। Fie!........

Subject+Wish+ Would that এর পমরর অংশ। Ex: We wish we could be Would that যুক্ত sentence... Ex: Would that we could be a chaimpion.

 Assertive To Interrogative Sentence or Vice versa
❖ Rule 1 : প্রথমেই Sentence টি লক্ষ্য ক্রমে হমব, যনে Sentence টিমে Auxilary Verb থামক্ োহমল দেটি Sentence এর শুরুমে বোমলই Assertive sentence
দথমক্ Interrogative sentence এ রুপান্তনরে হমব। Sentence টি যনে Affirmative হয় (No,not,none ইেযানে িা থাক্মল) োহমল Auxilary Verb এর পর Not
বেমব।

➢ Examlple: Ass: He is reading book----> Int: Is not he reading book?

➢ Ass: The boy doesn’t play football ----> Int: Does the boy play football?.

❖ Rule 2: Auxiliary Verb নবহীি Sentence দক্ Interrogative ক্রমে হল বামক্যর শুরুমে Tense ও Person অিুোমর Do/Does/Did বোমে হমব এবং sentence টি
Affirmative হমল Not বেমব।

➢ Examlple: Ass: You know me well. ---> Int: Don't you know me well?.

➢ Ass: The boy plays football. ---> Int: Doesn't the boy play football?.

❖ Rule 3 : Never/Nothing যুক্ত Sentence দক্ Interrogative ক্রার েেয় Never/Nothing এর স্থমল Ever/anything বেমব।

➢ Example : Ass: i know nothing about it. ---> Int: Do I know anything about it?.

➢ Ass: I have never been to Cox's Bazar. ---> Int: Have i ever been to Cox's Bazar?.

❖ Rule 4: Everyone/Everybody/all থাক্মল এর স্থমল Who+do/does/did+not বেমব এবং Nobody/none থাক্মল শুধুোে Who বেমব।

➢ Examlple: Ass: Everybody likes an honest man. --> Int: Who does not like an honest man?

➢ Ass: Nobody trusts a liar, ---> Int: Who trust a liar?

Very few+ adjective এর পমরর অংশ+ Verb এে Subject+Verb+adjective এর Comparative form+ Subject+One of থাক্মল, দযেিঃ He is one of the

Note: কেেে শরব্দে আেোদো আেোদো Positive,Comparative, superlative form হয় নো, কেেে শরব্দে শুরুরত More,Most েেেহোে রে পখেেততন েরত হরে।

কেমনিঃ Positive- Important --> Comparative- More Important --> Superlative- Most Important

Changing Voice (Active to Passive or vice versa)

Active Voice: দক্ামিা Sentence এর subject যখি নিমে দক্ামিা ক্াে ক্মর েখি দেই Sentence এর Verb টি Active হয়। দযেি- He said this., I did it.

Passive Voice: দক্ামিা Sentence এর Subject যখি নিমে েক্তিয় িা দথমক্ অমিযর ক্ৃেক্ামের ফলাফল গ্রহণ ক্মর েখি দেই Sentence এর Verb টি Passive হয়। দযেি-
This was said by him, it was done by me.

Subject Object Active Passive

Examples:
1) Active- Mother cooks rice. --> Passive- Rice is cooked by mother.

2) Active- I am playing cricket. --> Passive - Cricket is being played by me.

3) Active- I have not taken tea. --> Passive- Tea has not been taken by me.

4) Active- Mutammim didn’t learn the lesson. --> Thd lesson was not learnt by me.

5) Active- I was drinking water. --> Passive- Water was Being drunk by me.

6) Active- She should love her husband. --> passive - Her husband should be loved by her.

7) Active- You must punish him. --> Passive- He must be punished by you.

Other important rules of Changing Voice:-

❑ Imperative Sentence দক্ Passive ক্রার নিয়েঃ

➢ শুধুোে েুল Verb নেময় শুরু Sentence দক্ Passive ক্রার েমিয নিমনাক্ত Structure অিুেরণ ক্রমে হমব, Let + Object টি Subject রুরপ+ Be + মুে Verb
এে Past Participle Form. দযেিঃ Do the sum ---> Let the sum be done., *Do not miss the train ---> Lrt not the train be missed, *Let him help
the poor ---> Let the poor be helped by him.

❑ Quassi Passive verb যুক্ত Active voice দক্ Passive ক্রার নিয়েঃ

➢ Subject + Tense,person অনুেোয়ী Auxiliary Verb + Complement + When/if + Subject অনুেোয়ী Pronoun + Main verb এে Past Participle Form.

➢ Example : The mangoes taste sour ---> The mangoes are sour when/if they are tasted., Honey tastes sweet ---> Honey is sweet when/it is tasted.
 Completing Sentence

বুঝামে ক্রা ক্খমিাই েম্ভব িা। killometer.

As if/ As দযি অমথ ি Present Indefinite + As if/As Though + Past Indefinite Hel tells the matter as if he knew it..

ি অমথরি নেল দরমখ বাক্য গিি ক্রমে হমব। He worked as long as he could.

Too........to এেই........দয Too এর পমর দয দোষ/গুি এর ক্থা বলা হমব, োর ক্ারমি The boy is too fool to send a email.
Subject নক্ ক্রমে পামরিা ো To এরপর বেমব।
He is too dishonest to speak the truth in court.

So.......that এমো.......দয এমক্ষ্মে So এর পমর adjective/adverb থাক্মল োরপমর that + The man was so nervous that he could not
subject + Cannot/could not + েংগনেপূণ Verb
ি speak.

If + Present _______ If + Present indefinite এে পরেে Clause টি হরে Subject + If it rains, We shall not go.
Indefinite will/shall/can/may + verb এে base form+ object....
Tense If you play in the rain, you will catch cold.

If + Past _______ If + Past Indefinite এে পরেে Clause টি হরে If i had a computer, i would earn through it.

Subject + would/should/could/might+ Verb এে Base If they wanted, i would go.

If + Past ______ If + Past Perfect এে পরেে Clause টি হরে If they had started earlier, they could have got
Perfect Tense train.

হরে।
 Tag Question

েোধোেণ খনয়ম: গ্রাোর এর েবমথমক্ েহে অংশ হমে এই Tag question. দবনেক্ নিয়ে হমে, Sentence দথমক্ Auxilary Verb নেনিে ক্মর দেিামক্ বামক্যর
দশমষ দলখা এবং Affirmative Sentence হমল Not (n’t) লাগামিা এবং বামক্যর Pronoun টি বোমিা ।

Structure: Auxilary verb+n’t+pronoun.

Example: We should leave now, Shouldn’t we?

Auxilary Verb: Can, Could, May, Might, Shall ,Should, Will, Would, Outght to,
You're coming to the party, aren't you?
Must, dare, am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had.
She can't swim, can she? Notes: নিমের দক্ষ্মে উত্তর েুখস্থ বনেময় নেমে পারমব।
They've finished their work, haven't they? • Every যুক্ত শব্দ দযেি: Everybody, Everyone,Every mother, Every
student etc. থাক্মল েুখস্থ “don’t they/didn’t they বোমব। Ex: Everybody

• Let us অথবা Let’s থাক্মল েুখস্থ shall we বোমব। Ex: Let’s do the

• দয বামক্য আমেশ,নিমষধ বা অিুমরাধ বুঝায়, োমক্ Imperative Sentence

বমল। Imperative Sentence োধারণে verb নেময় শুরু হয় এবং subject
উহয থামক্। Ex: Shut the door, Don’t run in the sun, Go from here.
