Step :1

Positive :- no other + superlative /comparative এর পররর অংশ + verb + as + superlative / comparative


এর positive form + as + subject.

Comparative :- subject + verb + superlative / positive এর comparative form + than any other + বারযের
বাকয অংশ।

Superlative :- subject + verb + the + positive / comparative এর superlative form + বারযের বাকয অংশ।

Ex.No other university in Bangladesh is as good as Dhaka university.

=Dhaka university is better than any other university in Bangladesh.

= Dhaka university is the best university in Bangladesh.

Step: 2

1. Positive :- very few + comparative / superlative এর পররর অংশ +plural verb + as + comparative /
superlative এর positive form + as + subject.

2.Comparative :- Subject + verb + Superlative / positive এর comparative form+ than most other +
বারযের বাকয অংশ।

3.Superlative :-Subject + verb + one of the + comparative / positive এর superlative form + বারযের বাকয
অংশ।

Ex. No other players in the world are as good as messi.

=messi is better than most other players in the world.

=messi is one of the best players in the world.

# as......as

not less.....than থাযরে

positive :- subject + verb + not less এর পকরবরতে as বরে।+ adjective + than এর পকরবরত
ে as বরে + object.

Ex.He is as ferocious as a lion.


comparative :- subject + verb + 1st as এর পকরবরত
ে not less + adjective + 2nd as পকরবরত
ে than +object.

Ex.He is not less ferocious than a lion.

# এয কেরেবাে ভুক্ত adjective কয Comparative এবং Superlative যররত হরে word এর কশরে ier এবং
iest ক াগ যররত হয়।

Ex. positive comparative superlative

tall taller tallest

brave braver bravest

small smaller smallest

আবার এয কেরেবাে ভুক্ত word এর কশরে y থাযরে y এর পকরবরত


ে comparative এ ier এবং superlative এ
est ক াগ হয়।

positive comparative superlative

easy easier easiest

কযন্তু এরযর অকিয কেরেবাে ভুক্ত adjective কয comparative এবং Superlative যররত হরে word এর
কশরে more এবং most ক াগ যররত হয়।

Ex.positive comparative superlative

beautiful - more beautiful -most beautiful

1. কযান Affirmative sentence এ only বা alone থাযরে only র পকরবরত ে Allah / God বা বেক্তক্ত বুঝারে none
but, বস্তুুু বুঝারে nothing but, এবং েংখ্ো বুঝারে not more than / not less than বরে।

Ex. Only Allah can help us

= none but Allah can help us.

A child likes only sweet.

= A child like nothing sweet.

Ex. He is only ten.

= he is not more than ten.

2. affirmative sentence এ must থাযরে negative যরার েময় must এর পকরবরত


ে can't but / can't help
বরে। তরব can't help + verb + ing বরে।

Ex. you must obey your teacher.

= you can't but obey your teacher.

3. affirmative sentence এ both...and থাযরে তার পকরবরত


ে not only... but also বরে।

Ex. both joy and shokhi are good friends.

= not only joy but also shokhi are good friends.

4. affirmative sentence এ every থাযরে তারয negative যররত হরে প্রথরম there is no + every এর।
পররর অংশ + but + বাযী অংশ।

Ex. everyone hates a lair.

= there is no one but hates a lair.

5. as soon as কয negative যররত হরে তার পকরবরতে no sooner had + প্রথম অংরশর subject + verb এর
past participle + বাযী অংশ + than + কিতীয় অংশ।

Ex. as soon as the thief saw the police, he ran away.

= no sooner had the thief seen the police than he ran away.
6. too...... to ক্ত
ু বাযেরয negative যররত হরে too এর পকরবরত ে so + too এর পররর adjective / adverb +
to এর পকরবরত ে that + প্রথম subject tense অনু ায়ী can / could + not + verb এর base form + বাযী অংশ।

Ex. he is too weak to go.

= he is so weak that he can't go.

7. as.....as কয negative যররত হরে প্রথম as এর পকরবরত


ে not less এবং কিতীয় as এর পকরবরত
ে than বরে।

Ex. Rana was as wise as Robi.

= Rana was not less wise than Robi.

8. affirmative sentence এ always থাযরে তারয negative যররত হরে তার পকরবরত
ে never এবং affirmative
শব্দটির negative রুপ বরে।

Ex. he always agree with them.

= he never disagree with them.

9. affirmative কয negative যররত হরে affirmative শব্দটির negative রুপ বোরত হয়। এবং negative
শব্দটির পূরব not
ে বরে।

Ex. I shall remember you.

= I shall not forget you.

NEGATIVE TO AFFIRMATIVE

উপ ক্ত
ু ে কনয়ম গুরোর কবপরীত কনয়ম বেবহার যরর negative কয affirmative যরা ায়।

Ex. none but he can do this.

= only he can do this

dhaka is an old city

= dhaka is not a new city.

Assertive to Interrogative

Rule 1:- auxiliary verb + not + sub + বাযী অংশ +?

note : বারযে auxiliary verb না থাযরে do,does, did বেবহারর হয় + main verb এর base form বেবহার
যররত হয়।

Ex. he is absent from the meeting.

= is not he absent from the meeting?

কযন্তুুু বারযে negative word থাযরে interrogative যরার েময় not বরে না।

Ex. he is not a good student.


= is he a good student?

Rule 2 :- sentence এ never থাযরে ever হয়। nothing থাযরে anything হয়।

Ex. I never drink tea.

= do I everr drink tea?

Rule 3 :- everyone / everybody /all কয interrogative যররত হরে প্রথরম who + don't /doesn't /didn't +
main verb কথরয কশে প ন্ত ে +?

Ex.everyone wishes to be happy

= who doesn't wish to be happy?

Rule 4 :- every + noun হরে every এর পকরবরত


ে is there any + noun টি + who + auxiliary verb + বাযী অংশ
+?

Ex. everyman must die

= is there any man who must not die?

Rule 5 :-nobody / none / no one কয interrogative যররত হরে এরের পকরবরত


ে who + বাযী অংশ+?

nobody could never count my love for you

=who could ever count my love for you?
