4/16-20/2008 AAGs in Boston, MA

This past week, Sharon and I traveled to Boston, MA where I presented a paper and chaired a session at the 2008 AAG meeting. We spent a few days in Boston milling around and took off for Cape Cod on Saturday before our flight back to Chicago on Sunday. Below are a few shots from the area.

View from atop our hotel in Cambridge, looking east toward the MIT campus, Charles River, and downtown Boston. It really was this "blue" of a day.

View from Boston University Bridge, looking east toward Boston. BU is to the right, while our hotel (the Cambridge Hyatt) if off to the left.

Contrasting architecture styles near Copley Center.

Buds on weeping willow in Boston Common.

Boston Common on an beautiful spring day.

Old Granary Burying Ground -- resting place of many notables.

View from our hotel room toward Copley Center and the famous Citgo sign behind the Green Monster.

Likely one of the most disgusting hamburgers I've seen ... a colleague's hamburger, complete with fried egg, from an Irish pub in Central Square, Cambridge, MA. Click to give it the full respect it deserves.
