Family Background:
I had been very good in my studies through my educational career and the
concentration on academics had been tremendous and always had a dream for
me to pursue my further qualification from abroad. During my graduation, I
came across my strengths which was more into understanding and analysing
the concept and then putting it on the paper unlike the system of education
which I believed more of mugging the content and implementing the same on
the paper which led to not thinking out of the 4 walls of the class room.
After completion of my studies I got an opportunity to work with Hanumant
Transpower Engineers as a Trainee engineer from July 2014 to June 2015.
After that I got an opportunity to work as a Lecturer in L J Polytechnic College
from July 2015 to till date (Work experience letter & Salary Statement
attached in Visa File).
Though I worked for so long into teaching field, I did not get the growth and
enhancement in my career which I was looking for. After working so long into
this field I realized there isn’t any kind of development into my career. I realized
working as a lecturer will not help me to achieve my future and career goals.
I always felt that I lack a professional degree which would give an edge to my
career growth. Just by having a bachelor’s degree I was sure I won’t able to get
the desired growth. I always wanted to pursue my studies from an English
speaking country wherein I get to have an overall development as here in India
Bachelors qualification is a very basic qualification and insufficient too as a
student is not matured enough to face that challenge in the open market upon
completion of Bachelors as here India education is system is too theoretical
and due to the same there is a lack of an overall development of an individual
and so I decided to pursue my further education from abroad. The major
reason of me choosing Australia for my master studies as one of my neighbour
son went to Australia for his master studies 8 years ago, this vacation when he
had come to India. I spoke to him about my dream of going to Australia for my
further master studies. The kind of the review I got was immensely good. The
kind of economy as a country Australia is been growing being a graduate there
are quite a high chance for me to get good exposure. Moreover, as I mentioned
before comparing to Indian standard of education and Cost of education, I
rather choose Overseas for my master’s Degree.
Then like any other student I did a long research over the options for my higher
education in abroad, I came to conclusion that I would go Master of Project
Management.
When I researched about the courses in India I did not find any such course
which a management level course is very much specific to Engineering. The
courses which I found were MBA which is completely commerce related course,
Master of Management which would specialize in marketing and logistic and
supply chain however did not find the one which could meet my keen of
interest. The reason for not opting to study from India is due to that fact that
during my under graduation I realized that the education which was imparted
was very much of book oriented one and very less of case study and thus lack
of practical approach and lacks in preparing us for an industry ready. The
internship which is been provided by the Indian university is not productive
enough and thus only subjected till data entry work. The campus placement is
very much probable of the candidate leaving the job after the first 6 months of
probation period as the candidate will not be given the responsibility which
could be at par with the abilities, so I believe that there is no point of pursuing
further studies when there is a possibility of such circumstances to occur.
Also, I want to pursue abroad qualification as I do not want to start my job in
India with a basic pay of 15000 INR per month as along with hard work smart
work is also mandatory.
Australia is one of the world’s most favorite destinations for students seeking
top class education. Australia has the third highest number of international
students in the world just behind UK and USA though it has a mere
population of 23 million which accounts to almost half of Gujarat, India.
Seven Australian Universities feature in top 100 universities in the world
ranked by top university ranking standards. As one of the safest countries in
the world, Australians are also very friendly and welcoming to outsiders.
Australia offers a challenging and exciting creative study environment and has
some amazing landscapes, wildlife and flora and fauna. All public and
private institutions meet with. The ESOS Framework (Education Services for
Overseas Students) protects the rights of international students in terms of
course, fees, and mode of study. This ensures transparent and quality
education.
Australian universities are widely known for the quality of their teaching.
The qualifications are included under one national system - Australian
Qualifications Framework (AQF). It is becoming one of the most preferred
destinations for international students because of the new student visa rules
that have come into play due to which only genuine students will be given
preference of a visa grant. This would ensure that the education quality is
maintained, and only genuine students will get visa. Also, the highly cultured
& well-educated people are the strength of Australia. The high standard of
living & affordable accommodation is one of reason to choose Australia for
higher education. I perceive that learning in Australia will provide me a solid
framework for achieving professional responsibility, proficiency and lifetime
career development on my return to India. Moreover, it is a tourist country
as well, so along with my studies, I can even explore some of the best
places in this country and gain the best and the cutting-edge quality
education. Studying in Australia is a unique and thrilling experience.
Under this course, I will study following subjects which are Research in
Business; Complex Project Management; Project Management Project Proposal;
Project Management Research; Project Management Concepts; Initiating and
Planning Projects; Project Management Methodologies; Executing and Closing
Projects; Program and Portfolio Management Information Systems; Project
Management for Operators of Large Assets; Commercial Project Negotiation.
These all will be my core subject along with this I will get choice to select from
electives which are as follows Introduction to Programming; ICT Services
Management; Information Systems Analysis and Design; Professional Skills in
Information Communication Technology. The course duration is 2 years and it
has 11 core subjects and 4 electives. The course has 10 weeks of internship
associated with the program. By undertaking the internship, I would be getting
exposure of the working in a corporate culture and moreover it would excel me
on my professional part. By undertaking this internship, I would be getting to
work with different culture of the people.
My first and foremost aim is to give me best to my education and excel in the
same. Upon completion, I would want to come back to my home country-India
as my purpose is very much clear that I never want to settle in any abroad
nation because I believe that my parents have taken due care of me for so
many years, so it is my primary responsibility to take care of them in their good
and bad times. Also I love my state Gujarat which is very much peaceful and I
like the life here as in abroad if I think about long term things are not feasible
especially when it comes to facilities which we very much conveniently get in
India which includes such as having domestic helper, to afford a personal
driver is also no big deal unlike in abroad that even a person earning 100k a
year would be self-driving only though the people living and settled outside
India are very much independent in itself and trained in the culture do their
day to day duties by themselves but in India independent is a term which is
used for those individuals who do not depend on anyone including his own
family for monetary help. Being the younger son of the family, I have
responsibilities towards my parents. My family has an asset worth Rs 2.5 crore
which will be shared between me and my siblings. Apart from this we have
family and relatives in India and we are very close with them. As per the Indian
Law all the properties would belong to me being the next generation of my
family. My family customs do not allow the properties to be on my name solely
unless I am 25 years old which I will be getting upon completion of my master’s
qualification. Once I finish my studies and come back definitely I would take
the responsibility of my parents and moreover by the time I would finish my
master studies I would be in my marriageable age, so they would like me to get
settle on my personal front and pursue my further career in India.
Career Plans
I am looking forward for a package of INR 5-6 lacs per annum which I believe is
an estimated one because if I compare studying in India for 2 years and then
started to work I am expecting a starting salary of 25,000 INR per month and it
will go up to INR 35,000 for working 2 more years after that however if I
compare that after attaining an international qualification and taking the
benefit of post study work visa and working there for 2 years in an
international environment and having a package of atleast 45,000 AUD per
year and adding to my profile package, position, international experience,
strong communication skills by then If I am expecting the stated package I
believe I have done an estimated one. Further to this I would like to quote that
I have given this estimation by doing a research on Naukri.com, Monster.com,
Indeed.com wherein companies such AECOM, L & T Engineering, SMCC,
Jaypee Group, Essar Group, Hindustan Construction Company wherein I
found out that the requirements in their criteria was a Master degree holder
student and that the remuneration which they were offering had a range of
difference between the salary of a fresher and Masters qualification holder thus
I am sure that after gaining an international qualification and also after gaining
an international exposure I am sure I am expecting the right one.
An Added advantage to this I would want to take the benefit of the post study
work permit wherein I would want to work for 2 years and as per my research
in seek.com.au. I am looking forward for a salary there in Australia atleast
45000-55000 AUD per annum on a bare minimum scale and thus combining
my 4 years an overall exposure in Australia. If I am looking for an improved
employment of a minimum package of 6,60,000 – 7,50,000 INR per annum in
India. I believe that I have rated myself and my career on an expected range
and justifies my employment prospective in my home country in the future in
comparison to a qualification obtained locally.
After completion of this course, I will come back to India and work with Indian
companies like I will be getting an opportunity to work with Companies such as
Reliance, IFFCO, GNFC, GSFC, HPCL etc. I would be having a vast option for
me to grow and shall be eligible to work as Business Analyst, Plant
supervisors, Engineering Consultants, Project Assistant, Project coordinator,
technical Advisor Project Superintendent. Thus, I am very much firm on my
goals and decision towards the next ladder of my life. Thus, I sincerely request
the esteemed Authority to favorably consider my application and provide me
with a suitable platform for attainment of success in my desired field.
Conclusion:
I feel that I need to focus on my studies and then success and achievement are
bound to come. Placing confidence on my aspirations and aptitude, I sincerely
hope that my application will be considered as favourable.
