Self-Assessment of Teacher Leader Qualities

Exploring/Emerging (E) - a level of practice in which the teacher leader relies on ongoing
assistance from more experienced colleagues for support, guidance, and survival. The
teacher leader is moving toward becoming more self-directed and independent in her/his
practice.

Applying (A) - a level of practice in which the teacher leader is able to provide
independent leadership and easily applies what s/he has learned about leadership.

Integrating/Innovating (I) - a level of development in which the teacher leader is fully


skilled and confident. The Integrating/Innovating teacher leader contributing to the
broader educational community through staff development, research, or publication in
professional journals

I value my students engagement by providing I am always interest in new and innovative

My school is unique in that my students learn I would like to explore how I could apply

Summary of Strengths and areas for growth

The strengths I bring with me are 12 years of teaching experience. I have been very fortunate
to work in classrooms with many veteran, expert teachers. I pull from all these experiences
everyday in my teaching and techniques. I think I can continue to have growth professionally
with a focus on continuing education related to current news and research. Also, I can
continue to strengthen my teaching as I look for ways to be innovative by making my virtual
teaching engaging for a variety of student learning styles.
