Another 8" on Thursday night and Friday morning, making this one of the snowiest winters in sometime for northern Illinois. We have just topped 41" for the season. A few images from an early morning drive around town.
Level 2 radar composite illustrating the frontogenetical banding taking place across northern Illinois. This storm was quite a surprise for our area due to this exceptional feature that set up shop well north and west of where the models had initially placed it. Snow totals in the Fox Valley -- 30 miles east of us -- approached a foot.
