San Juans in November

The second installment from our fall trip ... this one focused on mountainscapes near Telluride.

Old cabins and barns view the west end of Sneffels Range.

Double RL (i.e., Raul Lauren's) Ranch on the north side of Sneffels Range.

Last Dollar Road

 Ophir Pass.

View out the Walsh House (aka Bay Window House) at Animas Forks ghost town

Squall heads east toward McClure Pass

Telluride during Blues and Brews Festival (note Town Park to the left full of folks)

 Wilson Peak awash in yellow.

Kelvin-Helmholtz instability atop a lenticular.

The iconic San Juans perspective along sr145, south of Mountain Village.

Sneffels Range from Double RL

Chimney Rock near Ridgeway

The first snow of the season kisses the high peaks.

Gondola view of Telluride

Squirly contrails.

Jelly fish-looking lenticular.

A few lapses from the trip ... unfortunately, there were not many cloudscape opportunities as the weather was dominated by fair weather under a persistent subtropical high.
