PROBLEMS OF TS LINK CANAL

Seepage at the rate of 2.46 Cusec
per RD from RD. 50 – 196 on left
side of TS Link and right side of
Haveli Canal canal increases the
water-logging and associated
salinity in its vicinity. Resultantly an
area of 80,000 acres in the
adjacent Districts Jhang, Toba Teak
Singh & Khanewal became barren.

Rehabilitation
The department of Trimmu
decided Sidhnai
to take Link
up the Canal work
following
component as Phase-I and PC-I was proposed and
prepared by PIAIP for Project Director LBDCIP.
Major Work Components (PC-I)
Rehabilitation of 09 No existing drains. (Aroti , Dharkana , TSMB ,
Madi , Ghagh , Basira , Forest , Dangra , Kaura)
636 Acres @17,67,358 per Acre Land acquisition for new drains.
Construction of 04 No new drains.(TSL1,TSL2,TSL3,TSR1)
Extension of 4 Existing Drains.(Basira, Forest, Darkhana, TSMB
Drains).
Construction of 7No. Aqueducts & 9 No.Inlets.
688 RD Marks, 29 Culverts , & 73 Boundary Pillars etc.
Raising and strengthening of banks T.S Link Canal.
Re-decking of 15 No Bridges.
Stone pitching D/S 15 No Problematic Bridges.
43 No's SCARP tube wells will be rehabilitated
/reinstalled along TS Link & Haveli Main Line as phase-II
