Torymini

Male (upper) and female Torymus bedeguaris, copyright Josef Dvořák.

Belongs within: Torymidae.

The Torymini are a group of torymid wasps in which the groove between the mesopleuron and metapleuron is straight or slightly curved, and the gaster is sessile or on a shiny, usually pale petiole. Most species are parasitoids of gall-forming or wood-boring insects; some are phytophagous seed-eaters (Bouček 1988).
