Belongs within: Papilionoideae.

The Dipterygeae are a Neotropical group of woody leguminous plants bearing flowers with a two-lipped calyx in which the two upper lobes are much enlarged and the three lower lobes are reduced to small teeth (Cardoso et al. 2013).
