Regional Markets and Small Farms

WSDA's Regional Markets Program works with farmers, farmers markets, chefs and non-profit organizations to connect consumers directly to farmers who sell fresh, local products. We partner with public and private organizations to increase the economic viability of family farms and strengthen Washington's local food systems.

Farm to Food Pantry Initiative

Food Assistance is committed to pursuing innovative ways to bring nutritious food to people struggling to put food on the table while also promoting the economic growth and viability of Washington farmers. The Farm to Food Pantry initiative, a partnership with Rotary First Harvest, helps bridge the gap between hunger relief agencies and farmers through relationship building.
WSDA's Farm to Food Pantry initiative utilizes state Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) funds to help hunger relief agencies across the state purchase fresh produce from their local farmers, increasing access to healthier food options for low-income residents of Washington.
