今回の台風で栃木県足利市では、避難所に向かっていた男性が冠水した道路で立往生しました。男性は「道路が冠水してどこを走っているのか分からなかった。胸の辺りまで水につかり、死を覚悟した」と証言しました。 栃木県足利市では、今月12日、大雨の影響で道路が冠水して家族３人で避難所に向かっていた車が水没し、翌日、この車に乗っていた山本紀子さん（85）が亡くなりました。 近くに住む島田茂さん（67）も避難所に向かう途中、同じ場所で川からあふれ出た水で、車ごと流されました。 島田さんの車に搭載されたドライブレコーダーには、立往生するまでの道路の様子などが記録されていました。 今月12日の午後８時40分ごろ、島田さんが自宅を出発した時点では雨が強く降っていて時折水しぶきが上がりますが、水はたまっておらず路面は見ることができます。 田んぼ沿いの道を曲がって避難所につながる道路をしばらく進むと、前方が一時見え
