Eddie Mudd played golf for the men’s team at Morehead State from 1973-76. He lettered all four years for the Eagles and was a dominate golfer in the Ohio Valley Conference and in the region during his career for MSU.

Mudd became the only freshman to ever win an OVC individual championship. He accomplished the feat when he led MSU to the league team championship in 1973. After his playing days at MSU he went on to be a Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Club pro. He was mentioned in Sports Illustrated after he won the Amateur Public Links Championship in 1976.
