Kelly Stamper played basketball for the women’s team from 1985-89. She is known for being one of the most versatile players in school history. She is a member of the elite 1,000 point club.
At the time of her induction she ranked 11th on MSU’s all-time scoring list with 1,300 points. She also ranked eighth on the all-time rebounding list with 722 and third on the all-time assist list with 454.
A native of Knott County, Ky., Stamper was all-state in high school. She was an All-Ohio Valley Conference First-Team selection in 1986-87. She was the sixth women’s basketball player to be named First-Team All-OVC.
