Joe Lustic was an All-American football player for Morehead State from 1943-46. While the All-American offensive linemen were opening holes, Joe Lustic was providing plenty of excitement in the Eagle backfield.

A native of Maysville, Ky., Lustic played running back for the Eagles and was the first All-American other than an offensive lineman. He won the award in 1946. Lustic helped the Eagles to a 6-1 record in 1946 which included a 55-7 win over Union to end the season. Lustic’s speed and quick moves helped earn him the nickname “Jumping Joe.”
